That would have been too selfish of him.
Neil "serf dost" hota tho whatever you are saying that would've made sense but the whole issue is, Neil has feelings for Yuvika. Neil somewhere feels he still has a chance so Kartik had a valid ground there.
Yuvika's "I don't want to put you in danger" was actually a lame excuse. Kartik wasn't wrong when he questioned his place in her life. Yuvika gave more priority & importance to Neil subconsciously.
Anything said or done by Neil amidst that heated argument of KarVika would have caused more complexities.
