Which brands are booking tickets for their consumers ? smiley3 I am a privilege customer of many brands, how come not a single one reached out to me. I'd like someone to sponsor my $15 ticket for sure. smiley24

What do you expect SRK fans to do?? Ignore these baseless claims why exactly?? Can you explain to me what the mention of “cooperate booking” is supposed to be if not passive aggressive comments to get some sort of reaction from the fans?? And what exactly are you trying to accomplish with this comment bashing SRK fans?? I’m guessing we are supposed to ignore this as well because everyone else has the right to take digs and demand fan reactions but we shall always remain calm and respectful smiley36 I suggest maybe move to mars that’s the only way no to get called out for nonsense.

Can someone publish the list of Brands please ? Or do I need to get only Newslaundry or Ravish Kumar the man himself to get the fact checking done ? smiley19

Example: If you're associated with a brand and your payment is 5 Cr....the actor will take 3 Cr & ask the company to buy tickets worth 2 Cr for their employees for the "Particular" movie. This works out for everyone....the actor saves a lot of money on taxes, so he doesn't lose out on much even after the distributor share & increases his brand value which means more money. The company gains goodwill of the employees & the cost write off is the same....instead of marketing, it's employee perks, so no extra taxes.

The only problem is empty theatres because it's not easy trying to get rid of those many tickets for most companies.

It's also not just actors but producers too who can indulge in this - taking payments in tickets.

Came to light when a few recent films had sold out theatres online but empty auditoriums. Since then trade analysts have spoken about it & articles have started coming out like this recent BollyHungama one but no concrete proof yet. But it will be exposed soon enough.

Can’t wait for concrete proof

Also when several actors were buying tickets and distributing amongst less fortunate. Does that fall under shady practices as well?

At the time of Brahmastra there were definitely corporate or producer bookings. I personally experienced it when we found half empty theater while it was being shown as sold out online. smiley3Producers found a new way to hype up their movies. Rather than waste the money on silly promotions begging people to watch their movie, they are just pouring it into buying the tickets.
