Neil's mission is NOT to clear the name of Prem. It's only Yuvika's mission. Neil wants to know investigate something else. We don't know what it is so we cant say he is losing focus and all specially because Neil irrespective of his feelings keeps on pestering Yuvika about Pooja Sophie and all
