Why Dhruv had fallen in love with Tara and reached 17th century?

How it could have been gone like, he didn't fall in love with Tara but he only reached 17th century to cure only Bhaiji and fall in love with Anushya! But then he gets to know that Anu is already engaged with Mahaveer so he didn't open up his love to Anushya! Later when Mahaveer married Tullu to prove so called Dharm, Dhruv gets happy and proposes to Anushya about his feelings..
