I watched first one year of Ghum so I know the backgrnd. Agree Pakhi and Virat had a serious relationship in the beginning unlike Seerat Angad where Seerat didnt have anything but just betrayed.

But Pakhi there too always had her eye on Virat. Samrat came back much later. Before that Samrat was shown to have disappeared 2 days after marriage (he was aware of Pakhi's past with Virat ang got upset). So Pakhi was without husband and always wanted to cause rift betwen the leads. So for me Pakhi's character/actions was similar to Seerat's was similar atleast the first year or so. Only thing is Pakhi had no relationship to Sai but here Seerat is a worse character as she is eyeing her sister's husband.

But the bhabi dewar status is exactly same.

On the topic of deviation, one serial that deviated from the original is Anupama. in Bengali Sreemoyi did not marry her friend. But in Hindi they took their relationship to next level and it was a very smart decision and opened up for wider recognition. But their producer is a very well known one so it is a different ballgame.

These producers not sure how this deviation from the original going to help them. How will TRP audience which is mainly elderly tolerate such loose character lady. As I mentioned before my inlaws love this serial and they are now at the episode where Sahiba gets admitted to college. Whatever little lustyness Seerate showed till that time, my inlaws are pissed off and they say they cannot watch it any more. So I am sure the serial will lose more audience no one wants to see such vulgur actions from an important and ever present character.

Problem is that they will not get it "over" ever. The triangle will be a permanent part till the last day and that's why people are scared of Garry's death.

Yeah. Unlike other ph shows where it gets over and vamp gets exposed here they play vaada versus pyaar till the show breathes it's last.

Seen so many triangle shows, nothing like this. Where makers show nonsense of bhabi jeth for their own pleasure. Not for ratings, because they are begging us to watch on tv.

This ph does this to all shows, they just got lucky with Ghum as they followed original for over a year, got 3.5+ trps and then deviated with their surrogacy creativity.

For Bengali show Khorkuto remake Kkis , they brought a twist by 70th episode where ml marries vamp legally and fl illegally when the og version was a cute simple love story with no triangle.

Now Tmd too fell victim to their fetish of making ml vamp a thing till show ends.
