India Pakistan square off in Asia Cup on 02 September.. It will be interesting to see how our openers tackle Pakistani left arm swing bowlers especially Shaheen Afridi.... Previous few occasions Shaheen Afridi has got the better of our openers in the opening spell....

I remember On Sundays during my management days in Pune when we used to grow sick of hostel food , we would troop to Appa balwant chowk and have delicious misal pav ... One particular person would make spicy misal near Ma Na Pa ( short form for Pune Mahanagar Palika ) bus stand ...We would relish it with fried green chillies as side ons ....

Anyways , later I learnt that Misal actually is an improvised version of Usal .... The pav in misal is actually an Portuguese influence... The farsan toppings have their roots in gujrati food culture ....In Pune at many places they still serve flat bread instead of Pav ...

So all in all , a good misal pav serving is in fact a confluence of diverse cultures ...😀😀😀
