Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 20th Aug 2023 Written Update & EDT

Episode begins with Abir and Akshara viewing the recorded videos of the resort . Abir hugs Papa’s foto as he watches . Ask hugs him, Aks gets emotional about some scenes. Abir wipes his tears as he misses his papa. Aks too misses him and they share their pain of missing Abhinav. Abir soon falls asleep. Aks continues to watch and soon is shocked as she notices something . She regrets and rushes out of her room, she collides with Muskaan , apologises, asks Muskaan to take care of Abir and calls up PS, requesting for permission to meet Abhimanyu right then.

Aks rushes off out of the Goenka mansion, the entire family runs after her n asks what the matter was but she does not reply to anyone, she grabs the car keys from Kairav n rushes off to PS. The entire family is concerned for Aks.

In his cell Abhimanyu is thinking of Abhi n their moments at the resort. He is surprised to see Aks coming to meet him. They both have lots to say to eachother . They argue . Finally Abhimanyu states he never harm …. , he was not Akshara’s enemy. He was feeling the same pain , he too had lost a friend. Just like others he too was pained , his friendship too was not fake . Abhinav should have been Abhimanyu’s enemy but they were friends . It was because of Abhinav’s good nature . Abhimanyu enumerates all good qualities of Abhinav and all that he had done for Akshara n Abir .

Abhimanyu gets emotional as states no one was believing him, he did no harm to Abhinav , he never thought such an accident would happen , he did offer his drink but he never drank himself as he did like the smell of it . He wanted to surprise Abhinav, n went along with him as he chose that spot to enjoy themselves . Abhimanyu feels none will believe him but he too was pained just as others .

Akshara asks him to sign the papers she handed him there was no time now . She asks him to do as she advised , that would be best for him.

Aks returns to Goenka mansion , Abir hugs her lovingly , Bade papa confronts Aks for her behaviour . Kairav too confronts her . Aks states she was in tearing hurry n had no time to inform, she rushed to Abir’s school, he would not continue his schooling here . Swarna shares her concern . Akshara later feels sorry she had to lie to elders . But if she did not hide the matter today , she will never be able to do what she wanted to do next .

Next day at court , all are waiting for akshara. Akshara’s lawyer requests for few minutes more . Birla family n Goenka family wonders why Aks was taking so long . Soon Judge declares they will not wait any more . Akshara’s lawyer requests for five more mins . Akshara’s statement was mist important .

Right then Aks enters in lawyer’s uniform and states she will not give any statement in the court . Judge asks if she did nit want to give statement why was she here . Als informs she was were as Abhimanyu’s defence lawyer . All are in disbelief.

Soon Aks starts questioning Abhimanyu, she asks him if there was any jealousy between Abhinav and Abhimanyu . Abhimanyu gives his reasons for getting jealous , it was over becoming Ahir’s father, being accepted by the kid as father .

Manjari is scared that Aks was not fighting for saving Abhimanyu but trying to incriminate him by fighting against him .

Aks then asks if he got into fight with Abhinav at the resort . Abhimanyu gives his statement on that . She then asks if he had handed over his legal custody of Abir back to Abhinav , what would he have done if late Abhinav Sharma was alive ?

Abhimanyu then recollect Abir’s words, how he liked zKasauli despite all comforts at Birla house . Abhimanyu gives statement that he would have done the same . Handed over legal custody of his son to Abhinav. AKs smiles with teary eyes .

Manjari scolds Abhimanyu for choosing Aks as his defence lawyer, did he fail to fine by one else ? Abhi states Aks was fighting his case forgetting her own pain, he had full trust in his choice . Abhi Aks look at eachother .

At Goenka house , Muskaan confronts Akshara that manjari aunty had declared on Kairav Muskaan wedding day that she dreamt of seeing Aks Abir with Abhimanyu . Today not only her dreams were fulfilled but so also Akshara’s dreams . Bade papa gets infuriated scolds Muskaan . Aks is shocked .
