The actress playing Aliya has played similar characters in other shows and is more experienced than the other two actors. So I guess it was easier for her to adopt to her new role.
She reminds me so much of young Jasmine. Not just the actress, but the character too. Same way Aasmaa is too much like Tejo. None of the girls resemble their mothers much. Writers seems to be playing safe this time. Bringing in all elements from 1st gen.

They also showed Isha's pic in the episode. Then the older actress was shown. 😆 Everything seems to be done in a hurry for the leap.

The actors for the second-generation roles were not finalised at the time the promo was shot, so they had to use Isha for the initial promos😆

This is a new show - not a usual gen leap.
They could have easily promoted this show as a new show with a new name. But they didn't want to lose the built-in UD audience. From what I have seen, the show will have zero to little connection to season 2.
The show has new leads, new parents, etc. Ekam's personality is different - more aggressive. Nehmat will be typical crying maaaaaaa. Don't be surprised when they start revealing the backstories for nehmat-ekam-harleen to the new generation, the stories are completely different from season 2.
Harleen's new husband is an older actor.
Armaan- Asmaa's kismat connection is already established. I don't know about the actors, but I like the background the background music😆
