When Ak lost Abhir, who went to her to tell her that her son isn't dead, he is alive so she shouldn't be crying because she can meet him on every weekend, however she met him everyday. When Abhi gave up his son's custody and decided to cut off from Goenkas and Sharmas both clans couldn't take it, they didn't think he deserves some time to cope up with his feelings. Positive feelings are good for you but negative feelings are a part of one's life, people suppressing their negative emotions end up harming themselves even more, it is okay to accept that you are not fine with current state of events, it is okay to feel anger, misery and every other emotion. Dismissing any emotion and telling yourself that you are okay will create more problems. Abhi was bad for everyone because he was acknowledging his emotions. If Ak can cry for her son so can Abhi. If Abhi wanted to cut off from Goenkas and Sharmas, he had every right to do without people assembling to gas light him. He didn't go to anyone, he didn't invite anyone to his pity party, he was coping with his feelings alone. His mother and family didn't call anyone, after one month or one year of 4 stages of grief, he would have chosen to do whatever he wanted to do. Abhir doesn't need him, he has his family. Ak and An wanted to assuage their guilt of their lies and deceits so they forced Abhi to accept crumbs from Abhir. An had no shame telling father of Abhir that he can visit him every month in Kasauli as if he was doing a favour on him.
