Honestly, I also didn't like that too. They are annoying just like Katha and Ehsan were annoying in initial episodes. Ehsan almost felt like he was on his Villian arc but, soon everything cleared out and Ehsan is now one of out loved characters. So, I hope in coming episodes, we will actually see some development.

Also, there is no chemistry between them because there is indeed no chemistry. Like Katha and Viaan didn't have any chemistry for like half of the runtime of this show. Hope they get something common in them. Also, Ehsan's feeling for Vaanya are new and different to him. According to him, it is not like the feeling he felt ever before. Also, his love is one sided but, he is suppressing his feelings because Vaanya is Viaan's sister. We have seen before Ehsan also tried to have a chemistry with Katha and also said that he is interested in her and according to storyline, Ehsan had such temporary chemistry with almost every girl he meets. So, he doesn't want to reveal his feelings as no one will take his feelings seriously and might ruin his friendship with Viaan. So, that explains all the immature behaviour. He wants to stay away from Vaanya but, couldn't stay away from her. Maybe he liked her dominating attitude (reminds me of Karan-Preeta except Ehsan is much better version of Karan).
