West Indies tour of India of the 80 s was very special .... Infact after their defeat in World Cup 1983 , West Indies literally avenged their loss and defeated us brutally ... Jeff Dujon their wicket keeper used to appear in the first ever ONLY VIMAL AD... Gavaskar and Sandeep Patil during the tour appeared for the famous THUMPS UP AD ... and there used to be small booklets called flickers available in the market showcasing straight drives of Sunil gavaskar and viv Richards ....
In short you are right , We are getting old 😀
Richards, greenidge, Lloyd - all world class batsmen, supported by Gus logie, Lary Gomes, Faud Bacchus, Jeff dujon. . When they used to get going no one could stop them. Add to that fast and tricky bowling by holding roberts, aided by Malcolm Marshall. King Richards' 120 knock at Ahmedabad was bestever classic innings I have seen. It was last tour of India by all those great batsmen. Yes they hit us brutally in that series.
