Dude 83 was going to flop no matter when it released. The current gen could give zero craps about some cricketer from 40 years ago. A docu-style sports biopic that cost 250 crore to make?! It was an asinine budget. The entire team are a bunch of idiots who somehow convinced themselves this movie would work. All dumb af and out-of-tune.

Cirkus was a disaster because of Puss In Boots The Last Wish

And Jayeshbhai Jordar was a disaster because of what?

Idk maybe YRF was on downfall before Pathaan that's why it Flopped i know cirkus really Flopped due to poor story and comedy

Because it's a well-made biopic with an excellent Ranveer...maybe it will become cult...somehow like SRK's Swades and other movies which flopped at their times...

Reviews don't always translate to box office. Especially when the movie you made doesn't connect with the current youth and is made on an obscene budget that makes it near impossible to recover.

I've heard both good and bad so the reviews were mixed, at best.

Bollywood needs to realize that sports biopics never work. MS Dhoni was the only one that did, which is a rarity.

Umm not so sure..it has been n OTT success..a great repeat watch...new gen has seen it multiple times. And it was way better than Pushpa. Watched it in a housefull cinema hall. But COVID fear gripped the city again and there were staggered shows. This I remember..just for my city..dunno elsewhere. So wrong timing I guess
