yeah, I feel like they were trying to show she was emotionally stunted because she married an older man who basically control every aspect of her life but the writers were so sloppy the messaging didn’t come across correct .

I get that she wanted to be free and wanted to have fun and live the life she was deprived off but she didn't seems to care about her kids at all. I dropped it in the initial episodes itself and only watched some scenes here and there. The theme was good but the execution wasn't. In some scenes it looked like mehru was looking at mahir like her child than her husband and to top it bilal looked like one. They should have kept his dunk look for this one. Atleast he looked a little matured.

Going by how mahir was it's totally believable if he married mehru for the comfortable lifestyle but him behaving like a father to her kids was far fetched. They could have simply shown the kids and him being cordial and having mutual respect by the end. It did look like he ended up being emotionally attached to mehru than in love with her.
