I think they have made Shivu a bully to maybe make Shefali go against Mahima’s suggestion of staying with Parth. Seeing her son becoming like Parth she may want to keep them away. Or they could show he has been facing issues in hostel and the parents may want to stay together for his best interests.

I feel either shivu and abhir are patched up and they are playing somewhere.

Or

Shivu bullied abhir and he is hiding somewhere and Shivu will accept his fault in front of abhimanyu.

or

Shivu may unknowingly will do something which will harm abhir and akshu may get a reality check
