An Appreciation post for VJ

One can dislike Angad, but they can't deny the fact that no one could have portrayed Angad's complexity as much as VJ's done it. Even with a weak script, the man has tried to bring sophistication and depth to an otherwise unimpressive character. The pain, anger, love, confusion, hurt, comedy, everything is safe in Mr. Kumeria's hands. I have to say, his rather small eyes are very expressive. Sometimes, he expresses all emotions of Angad through his eyes without moving a face muscle. Man...that's commendable! He is the one who's made Angad's transformation convincing. Jab bhi wo scene mein hothe hein...baaki actors ko thagda competition dhete hein.

I don't usually write an entire post about actors, but this man never ceases to amaze me. I had seen his previous show 'Mose chhal kiye jaaye'. There he played a manipulative conniving husband who wants the reigns to control his wife. His eyes always had a wicked glint then and then now he plays Angad..whose eyes are gentle and melancholic. It's so hard to say that the same actor played both characters.

He's truly a gifted actor and is surely destined to go places. Wishing him only the best and looking forward to seeing him on the big screens/OTT soon.

100% Agree, VJ portrayed as Angad too good , take bow. in each and every time he amazed me, this is the first show Iam watching him.. Ph gave him crappy outfits though he look soo Handsome and portrayed his part well.. Most of the time he does with his eyes only, love anger, hate, smile every thing through his eyes. the way he walks 🤗

I love angad , he is a mix of loving and stupid .. i can not stop him for loving ☺️😉..He is angad❤️..

Past 10 years following him I think 9 characters he played in these 10 years he showed the difference between every character very well👏👏👏

His first lead roll time I read an IWM buzz article there’s a sentence He don’t need dialogue to grab viewers attention if he’s there he’s atract viewers with his expression & bodylanguage even there’s so many people in the scene 😁

This is so damn true. The first time I watched VJ was in ANNS. He portrayed the blind character convincingly well. I was so impressed with his acting, I went and watched all his other previous shows. Each character he’s played is so unique and he’s pulled them off so perfectly.

As you said it always makes me wonder is it the same person that played that blind character or the conniving cheating husband. Truly commendable 👏🏼 and his eyes are just another piece of acting entirely. I really don’t know how he does that. Even with the blind acting his eyes conveyed so much. I mean how can he do that! 🥹

I felt that in TMD they really havent given him the script to showcase his talent. Hope in the future they do so we get to see what a wonderful actor he is! 🤩🤩

💯 agree with you. He is brilliant actor and is showing all shades beautifully. Even with rappy script, weird dresses he still works best. His eyes are so expressive

That's why I feel let down that his angad could have been so much better if he would have had great script to work with too. Whatever the writers/pH do with the stories is so unfair for actors

I hope someone notice him and give him good OTT content roles also in future ... his potential is wasted in TMD.

have loved Vj’s work since Shastri sisters and he has literally grown as an actor with every show. ITV offers limited scope for a ML but he manages to raise above the script every time and makes his role stand out no matter what 👏

This is the first show I started watching because of the male lead's aesthetics and because I knew the story already and knew it gets better by 95 episodes. Little did I know.

But I would like to point out few of the times his acting stood out for me as a viewer recently

1)Pregnancy confrontation with Sahiba in room

2) The sorry and hug scene after shop burning

3) Anger against client for insulting Seerat and Sahiba for false complaint (hated scenes because it was abuse and he was so believable)

Many more in initial episodes because I could see a clear difference between how the actor portrayed Riddhi and Vj portrayed Angad.

I think he is particularly good at fury and angst. In contrast I watch a few other shows on Star and the actor always veers into troll worthy over acting after few episodes of good acting.

It is good that Vj serves often, he gets high voltage scenes very frequently and nails those everytime.

True! The outfits for Angad and Sahiba specially are horrible... looks like they've made it using curtain cloth or something!

Agreed 110%. I started following him recently. So 6 yrs back I had seen him in Udaan as Suraj. That character was one of thr best I had seen in ITV.. And the way he played it.. my god...nobody.. I say.. Nobody cud have done justice to that character. Actually, every1 was great in that show... but his character development was so much fun to watch... The show was a progressive one too.. And later I stopped watching Hindi shows.. I restarted last yr.. And that's when I noticed him in Mose chhal... It took me 2-3 days to realize he was our good old Suraj!
