This is a myth. There is no historical record of this ever happening. It made a good story though.

People who constructed Taj Mahal were brutally treated after the construction was done. Their hands and finger were cut deliberately, so nobody would use them to make another monument like Taj.

Pity KJo dropped the Mughal succession drama with Vicky and Ranveer. The rivalry between the sisters Jahanara and Roshnara was equally vicious with each sister supporting Dara or Aurangzeb. I'm so tired of seeing the same sort of historical women in films. Those who wave a sword around and then fall into an eternal love story with the hero. Royal women had the same blood running through their veins as their Royal brothers.They were also equally ambitious and cunning.
