I think Angad is like an onion. He has many layers (BTW I heard this quoted in the Disney movie, Shrek😆).
He comes across angry, mean, rude, as Mr. ATM, but I think he’s really a nice guy who just wants to be loved. We are noticing a change in his character… His gift to Sahiba signified a change and watching him cling to her dupatta for a whole day was a change as well.
I actually feel sorry for him because his family treats him poorly… except Veer and Veer’s parents… they either bark commands to him or are jealous of him. From the very beginning we were told from Inder that Daarji treats him like a puppet and he does and it’s so exhausting. One month Daarji wants Sahiba in Angad’s room and then the next month he wants her out of Angad’s room. These decisions string Angad along and no one ever thinks about his feelings. The family barks out orders to Angad and everyone expects him to obey. Inder wanted Angad to divorce Sahiba and he asked no questions on how Angad felt about it. He was making the decision for his son’s marriage. Sahiba was the only one to ask what Angad wanted. And respectfully she made her request of what she wanted versus barking orders or telling him what a husband should do.
It would take an entire dissertation to explain Angad’s character. He does have some problems but as someone stated all humans have problems which makes him a dynamic character. I think his main conflict is with himself… or choosing himself over his family. We can see that in the recent episode where he is in the bedroom in front of the mirror that he is in conflict with himself in regards if he should do what his family wants or do what he wants.
I am looking forward to seeing Angad in love again. We saw him briefly in love with Seerat but it was all one-sided. I’m eager to see how he acts when he is receiving love and support in return. I bet he’s a softie and a cuddler 🤗. Both characters deserve love at this point.
Also, I still have doubts that Angad is feeling anything for Seerat🤔. I will admit that I did not like him defending her in front of Mark however he has yet to succumb to one of her advances. If he wanted Seerat, he had his chance when she entered his room with the wind chimes but instead he was holding on tightly to the dupatta/ Sahiba’s cape. Also, he called Seerat Sahiba… he can’t even get the girl name right. Sometimes men can be oblivious to devious women and take their advances as niceness. I think that’s what’s happening here, but only time will tell. I do think Seerat is going to be more aggressive soon because she is going to be mad that Sahiba ruined her relationship by getting Gary kicked out of the house and of course she’s jealous.
