GL did a spoiler review for the Eid movies, and apparently people are still watching Maula Jutt? A friend in London said the same, she watched MJ in theatres sometime in April this year, it premiered again for two days I think. I can’t find any show near me.
I never heard of Carry on Jutta…it’s also apparently doing well in Punjabi circuits..since GL does Pakistani collections they mentioned it did 7 Cr over the weekend. In India it apparently did 40+ Cr.
I am interested in watching Babylicious, Imaan mentioned it has very pininterest board vibes, and I want to watch pretty looking people. They specially appreciated Syrah’s wardrobe.
On the other hand they panned Pasoori and specifically Ramsha’s look. They mentioned that the budget for this story was low and the effort seemed to be more like those of YouTube movies.
They also touched on International fans of Wahaj who didn’t think it was worth spending money to watch him onscreen. But overall praised the performances. Am I dreaming or did Khalil ul Rehman call Mehwish old on a TV show? Apparently, the dialogues are not misogynistic and highlight the plight of women in society. I can’t believe kuL wrote them. 😳

I think she is just a blogger and has some connections. She got called to the private screening of tmk by Samra. So she might be a pretty popular entertainment blogger in Pakistan.

They are micro bloggers. It’s not like SH,GL etc have a wide reach either. Their reviews touch 100k views at most compared to mainstream channels like Geo, Hum where even mediocre shows reach 1M in view-count. If you consider SH/GL tier 1 reviewers, tier 2 has many such creators who are not so famous but easily get 10k+ in views. And they are a lot of these types. Since the entertainment industry is small, the peripheral community is small as well, so these small page owners get noticed and gain a prominence. Afia mentioned since she tags Humza in her posts, he recognised her insta page name.How is this afiablogs person so famous that celebs follow her?
