This story is an emotional roller coaster.

The readers are feeling all the emotions the characters are feeling and more.

It is quite an achievement Arpita.

By putting the infidelity part in the Prologue itself, you had your work cut out for you.

Nafrat (for Infidelity) Paas Aane Na De, Mohabbat (for Arshi FF) Door Jaane Na De.

Arnav broke his commitment to Khushi and also made wrong decisions assuming that they are best for Khushi.

Let's see how they deal with the aftermath.

Coming to the photos, I suspect it could be Aman who did not like the way Khushi was kept in the dark.

Cheers..

The detail here being is they part and do not stay in contact. Interesting and a very probable take :)

I will tell you the reason why I chose this ending.

Let’s say Arnav was really emotionally vulnerable and drunk too when he cheated, he did not have a long affair but just a One night stand and regretted it a lot the very next day.

But the point is he still slept with someone else. So, if he really loved Khushi, he wouldn’t have done that, no matter what are the reasons, you don’t go and seek comfort from any other person who is not your love. Your heart will never allow you to disrespect that person like that. Never.

I guess Arnav realised that so he never in musings also says he loves her, in fact the reason Khushi doubts his love is also this.

But Khushi was always sure of her love, being in touch will not let her move on and moving on doesn’t mean to different man but in life.

She may always love him but needs to live her life respectfully. It may take time and may be years.

Whatever has happened can not be changed. So both of them now need to move on, they can’t do that if they’re actively involved in each others life.

Oops sorry Swati, I wrote everything on the forum. But if I get time before tomorrow will come up with another ending with some assumptions of coming chapter and send it to Arpita. 😊

I have seen 4 different cases of infidelity around me. Everyone involved has Indian back ground or some happened in India itself.

  • Three ladies who were financially dependent on their husbands, compromised when the husbands started cheating, because they have no place to go/for the sake of kids/were conditioned like that from childhood (pressure from elders and society)
  • A girl after dating for 3 years, falling in love and getting engaged (with a fancy proposal and the jazz), cheated on the fiancé and was very unapologetic and casual about it. The boy broke the engagement. Parents though upset with their daughter, they did not abandon her.
  • A lady eloped with a next door neighbour (who was single and younger than her) after giving birth to 3 kids. The kids were in primary school at that time and husband has decided to stay single. When kids completed high school and moved to a city to get enrolled in good colleges, the wife has returned as her lover abandoned her by then. Husband and kids let her return and they are all living together now.
  • A wife is cheating and the husband knows about it, still they are living together.

The reason for mentioning all this is, though we feel strongly about infidelity, we need to understand that it happens around us and different people deal with it differently.

In some cases they get back together and in some cases they go their separate ways. Some easily move on while others could never move on.

If the person who commits bigamy wants to repent or ask for forgiveness it is their choice. If the partner wants to forgive them or not that is their choice.

I can guarantee one thing. If we all encounter a problem (say for example discrimination at work), I am sure we all deal with it differently and give different reasons for our actions. Surely we don't go to HR/the team leader at the first sign of discrimination.

We do know that, there are multiple outcomes and solutions to any issue/problem and I am ready to read Arpita's version.

Cheers..

Just send it to Arpita in a message whatever you had written in chat... It should be good enough, additional one will be even better...

First of all Swati, thank you for starting this and sharing your ideas. The silent readers , active ones, all have reached out with their choices and it has been rather fun to go through them.

Secondly, thank you for sending yours. I genuinely loved how detailed you were about what you wanted out of this FF. I mean the subplots going on made it so so good.

So once we reach towards the end, you guys can see how many points you actually guessed right ♥️♥️♥️

Arnav realising that "Lust Stories" is not progressive and "Hum Saath saath Hain" is certainly not regressive.

I am using names of Bollywood movies here as he is in that industry and his life has surely turned towards "Lust Stories" from a beautiful "Nadiya ke paar" story.

Regarding Khushi, I want the decade earlier Khushi back, who was so energetic, positive, had a zeal to achieve something in life.

What an apt way to put it 😂😂😂😂 Should I make the title of next chapter Arnav’s lust stories?? 😂😂😂. I’m just kidding. It’ll break the continuation but my god I’m tempted.

Loved the last line ♥️

Thanks for detailing the thought process. This seems in line with characters so far too. The heartbreak was so severe for Khushi that she was ready to abandon nearly everything to get away from Arnav. Makes sense that she would not stay in touch if she is healing and moving on.

Although, there are a lot of restraints on current Khushi. Had she been that strong and independent, she would’ve walked out on her parents too but wouldn’t have come back with Arnav. At this point, returning back was both emotional and financial pressure and nothing could’ve been worse for her already wounded self respect. Precisely why she had said what she said in the last chapter. She is just done.
