Yes! 😆 Kriti-Ram's relation is completely superficial..... This kind of relations happen in today's world hundreds in moment N break thousands in seconds.

Ram..... as a character, I actually feel pity for him😆...... S2-A he couldn't see through vileness of his stepmother and brother ..... A little perception but hopeless acceptance would have brought much better depth to Ram, then..... It came only towards the end.

In this season, too. Ram is completely oblivious to his money-minded GF and cousin...... Doesn't work for any human being... we have innate sense of knowing the vibes of person in front.....

His sensitivity and empathy to Priya's family were shown after the drunk episode........ what lacks is his perception of his mother's sentiments...... When she said in second episode, the Mama-Chacha are all there just for the money and big mansion..... or she repeatedly states that he needs someone to stand with him for himself alone, not for his money...... he doesn't really take lessons like a good son.

Priya’s mom I think is a deliberate choice, seeing as she is modeled on S1 Priya’s mom, being OTT was part of the job description!
