Although I am what you would call a “not in their right mind” SahAn fan😂 (it’s okay, I am not offended at all… I think it’s funny), I will agree with you/hellodona that there is absolutely nothing occurring between Sahiba and Angad for the two of them to stay together. I actually never thought about it that way until you shared your point of view (POV) and provided clarity 💯. And that’s what I love about this forum. I love discussing the show and reading everyone’s thoughts and perspectives.
But I digress… You are right. And the only thing that viewers can really assume (because there is always little dialogue and expression regarding how Sahiba and Angad feel about one another) is that the two are attracted to each other based on their stare-off competitions. Plus, weirdly, Angad has always wanted to “misbehave” with Sahiba🙈🙊🙉.
I think SahAn fans like myself are simply hopeless romantics who are holding on to the show’s description like “destined to be together”😍. We are infatuated with the fairytale scenes (i.e. the prince saving the damsel in distress like Angad swooping up Sahiba in his arms) which gives us a “butterfly in the stomach” type of reaction. Think about it? How many times have they shown this same type of scene? And how many times do we fall for it? Well, I can only speak for myself, but I fall for it every time😂. I’m guilty.
I agree with NotAMuggle, the writers are literally playing with our emotions. They are stringing us along week by week while I’m glued to my Hulu app everyday waiting for a love connection to happen between two unlikely people while it’s really a far fetched dream. So I see your reason for calling people like me “not in their right mind” 😵💫😂. I literally yell at my tv 2-3 times a week in disappointment. So, I’m sure my neighbors think I’m crazy as well 😂.
Honestly, if this show was a real life event… it would be a shame/disgrace and the characters would be in a prison cell, in physical altercations, and/or diagnosed by psychiatrists and given at least 3 prescription drugs. However, I remind myself that this is just a tv show for ratings. Although, I will grant credit to the writers for their creativity because I am able to pick up on the literary techniques which makes it an art work. The show actually reflects and/or conveys social and cultural messages that entertain or fulfill the need for artistic and spiritual consumption.
But the writers are wasting time and very soon they need to make this make sense because if I’m looking at it from your POV or logically, it does not make sense at all. I would like to think that I know what the writers are trying to convey but their subtle hints with Sahiba and Angad’s relationship is not cutting it anymore. Sahiba and Angad need authentic progression. The starring competitions and the damsel in distress scenes have reached their expiration date.
With all of that being said… guess what? I’m still a crazy SahAn fan 😂😂😂. I have not been converted. I just see your POV that there is no logical reason why they should be together. You explained your point with such clarity and I’m appreciative of healthy conversation and dialogue about the show 🙌🏾.
However, I do think that Sahiba and Angad are more compatible than Seerat and Angad. Because of Angad’s position in business and in his family he would be better suited with Sahiba. Sahiba is his destiny. She is his support system in more ways than one. The evidence and explanation for this exists within the show but it’s so subtle that it’s going unnoticed. And that may well be purposeful by the writers because once again this is a work of art. I would offer my explanation on why SahAn are well suited but it would be rather long so I will spare you from a dissertation.
Side note… I have always thought that Sahiba was adopted. Am I the only one who had that inclination? There is a reason behind my theory and it’s not just because her name is different from the other two sisters (Seerat & Keerat). But I will share that in another post one day. However, the Canada business partner’s comment about Sahiba and Seerat made me think that maybe I am right 🤔😱.
