Definitely balh3 is shattering my belief that finite shows would be more sensible. I assumed that if its a finite show, unlike other indefinite shows that veer away from the plot citing trp reasons , here they would stay true to the essence and they would have a bound script with beginning middle and end.
I don't think anyone of us expects a flawless script. There's no such thing. We will always point out things we dont like or we think dont make sense etc. BUT there's gotta be some semblance of logic and not just same tropes meaninglessly applied to a dhow of triangle, pati patni woh, parents being worried/ill and pressuring kids, and manipulative exes who are so shameless. C'mon.
Ok so they wanna show that 2 middle aged mature people with prior failed relationships can find true love in an arranged marriage because destiny leads good people to their soulmate and their parents who know them best can identify a good match. Ok then thats it. Show that. An arranged marriage where people gradually find love and companionship. Why shove contract? Why show that Ram is still involved with Kriti when he's agreeing to marry Priya. How can anyone live with themselves doing that?! Which woman will voluntarily marry for 3 months like that even if its just to get parents off her back. Which 35 + year old man would rather lie about who he loves/wants to marry after being in a steady relationship and rather give in to pressure to marry some chick he met two three times claiming its for his moms health?! How ridiculous! And they havent even built up Ram Shalini relationship like that where hes scared of her and shes dominating and completely stubborn etc. She's easy enough to talk to. She just wants him to settle down and be happy. She even told him she'd accept a girl she didn't like as long as he likes her. She's that understanding. So whats his deal?! He can simply say his gf has a contract and cannot reveal the relationship which is the truth.
Thats why people are annoyed.
The least they can give us is a decent script. Because we know NM DP will infuse their chemistry into it and Make it great. But no chemistry/acting can salvage a pathetic plot. Its just lollipops
Even balh2 had a better premise. A brother insisting his older unmarried sister get settled before him and the couple agreeing since they didn't really have reason to decline. Simple. They made it horrible later. But at least the premise is decent.
