My point here is not that they were perfect or something but they weren't that bad considering goenka siblings.

Now years later with countless things happened we see Goenka Siblings finally accepting eachother with open heart but what happened to make them realise is a death of a person.

Who was lively even after his struggles at Birla house, Abhimanyu's only friend. even when they fight they resolved it too asap.

They even fight coz of aarohi so the family which was anyway hanging by the thread is now completely destroyed coz that thread was cut by the two sisters one intentionally and one by mistake. If you think about it.

The reason why goenka sisters are getting along with each other is not because they have matured over the years , but because of the fact that Arohi now has no reason to be insecure from akshara.

All their fights were the outcome of the insecurity and unhealthy competition that arohi had with akshara.

Presently , akshara has nothing which arohi cares to be insecure about . Akshara is financially weak , got abhinav as husband who is not the kind of man arohi would go gaga over , doesn't have a bright career to be proud about and lastly she is living away from goenkas and arohi.

No matter how much they act like besties , they still can't live peacefully with each other for a long time . Arohi will support akshara till it serves her interests.

In fact if Arohi wasnt turned into an outright villain, but with her traits, was actually a grey character along with Abhimanyu, who was meant to a suljha hua grey character.. They would had a much better marriage, maybe not instant love.

Arohi and Abhimanyu were selfish in love and had no mahaanta bone in their bodies, they matched even when they fought. Takkar. They was conflict. They also had the academic enemies to lovers trope. DKP should have given both the jodis a fair chance and not turn one into a villain.

Abhimanyu should have mended the sisters' bond rather than ruining it further. It never gave rishta vibes at all.

Just a lot of lost opportunities. Abhimanyu and Akshara were so mismatched. Am glad they acknowledged it within the show that they fell in love with the idea of love and got married without really knowing each other and it was quite evident how they didn't agree on very important things. You look at Akshara-Naitik, Kartik-Naira, and then you look at Abhimanyu-Akshara and its not the same. Maybe it was the characterization, maybe storytelling. It was a mismatch. Gen 3 didn't click with me at all.

I agree Goenkas were toxic too, but my point is that Birlas were already dealing with internal issues, just that they got used to live a certain way and never cared about mending things. Though the Birla siblings seemed to have a better bond, because they did not have an Arohi plotting all the time, or a Kairav asking his one sister to leave for another, still the Birla siblings did not stand for each other in every moment, and the examples I have mentioned in the previous comment. So it was already dysfunctional for Birlas, if it was not Kairav for Anisha, would have been someone else, as she died because of her own mistakes. She was the unstable one who cheated and then emotionally blackmailed Kairav, so why should we blame Kairav of the fate that she finally ended up with. About Neil, if it was not Ak or Arohi, still his truth would have been hidden. If people think Ak did wrong with Abhi and Abhir for hiding the truth, then the same thing happened with Neil too. At least Abhir was not made to feel that he is adopted and out of place. So it was Manjari wronging him, not the Goenka siblings in the first place. Yes, later on Arohi manipulated and married him, all that I can count as her trying to destroy Neil, but that is a separate topic. My point is that despite all that he was already living a lie and was in that kind of position because of the Birlas themselves, but just got used to living that way. Nobody stood for Parth and his passion and he did not seem to talk it out with any of the siblings either. The family was dysfunctional way before the entrance of the Goenkas in their life. They did not need the Goenkas, rather any small incident or any other family/person could have easily destroyed this hoax of a good family or bond, as these issues were of their own making and no outsider was responsible for the same. The outsiders would have just acted as the catalyst, ab wo Goenkas hote ya koi aur does not matter.
