If the leap does happen and it's fifteen years no way can kd pass off as a 20 year old mithu lol he can look young but not practically a late teen lol on top he is starting to look closer to his age now. He also seems keen on wanting to do a webseries or some reality type show so it's better he not get stuck on this show.

Look at yhc they had one gen leap with same leads but they royally messed it up then they had another leap but kept the lead actors to help guide the new gen leads and who knows how long they will stay till this new leap is successful.
