If she had said it 1970s I would have understood.

But to say it in 2022 is a tad silly. That too for an established woman like Kangana who is a multiple NA winner, Padma winner and is well connected.

We have plenty of successful female producers in recent decades be it Ekta Kapoor, Gul Khan, Vinta Nanda, Asha Parekh, Anushka Sharma (who started Clean slate films and produced NH10), Zoya Akhtar, Kiran Rao, Meghana Gulzar, Hema Malini (she has produced content for TV, films and theatre before Kangu was born).

I remember Ash had produced Dil ka Rishta as well. Jaya Bachchan had her own PH Saraswati Creations which had produced successful shows like Dekh bhai Dekh.

I am aware launching and sustaining own PH is very difficult and even Anushka quit her own and handed it over to her brother. But Kangana's statement is poorly worded that people thought a woman cannot do it or only Khans can do it or people think it is new.

Trying to act like a pioneer or victim.

Also why she drags names of Khans all the time? Irked that no Khan worked with her?
