We have so many versions of Mahabharat n ramayan n many other mythological shows running on TV every year.

Even they have decent dialogues, costumes n acting.

Ekta Kapoor too made Mahabharat with six pack abs pandavs n draupadi having tatoo n that show was trolled badly n failed.

Director said his dadi Nani used to speak in same language while telling him stories about ramayan.

Is director fooling ppl around or he is really that stupid that he can't differentiate that there is difference between day to day language n presenting a mythological movie.

The makers only interetsed in making money, rather than doing it with passion. Everybody involved lacks passion. Bollywood these days lack passion.

Its is all about paisa than passion.

They were too desperate to win over youth addicted to web series and Netflix hence the use of wannabe graphics and poor retelling of Ramayana and chapri language hoping to make otherwise old epic like Ramayana 'cool' to youth. It backfired big time.

True. And it also has to do with other social factors currently prevalent in our country.

The whole Jaago Hindu and Hindu khatre mein hai social commentary going on across mainstream media is a contributing factor. The aggressive language, the angry depiction of Hanuman Ji, etc are all associated with the saffron brigade

There was a tweet I saw yesterday which rang true (paraphrased)

- Adipurush team has done to Ramayan, what RSS did to Hinduism. interestingly the effect on the general public has been the opposite for both scenarios. The same public which is accepting the new aggressive avatar of Hindutva is actually rejecting the new aggressive Ramayan

Yes I read that tweet and article too.

I think there is a reason why VHP, Bajrang Dal, RSS did not object to Adipurush nor took morchas against team nor filed cases.

The way they went after Deepika's orange bikini in Pathaan.

Or accused LSC of hurting sentiments though there was nothing against any faith in it.

They have been encouraging aggression and used aggressive language in tweets, SM posts, songs, speeches, rallies or making aggressive paintings of Hindu gods. I have been seeing bulky and aggressive depictions of even Lord Ganesha online of late though He is generally shown as a composed and sweet or cute deity.

They probably thought Adipurush would bring that josh and make Hindus more aggressive or feel cool about being aggressive.

Hence BJP leaders thanked in the credits and probably approved that film and Censor Board cleared these dialogues.

Or Arnab and Sweta giving chance to Manoj and Om to explain their POV and use hashtags like #HinduAwakening

Totally disgusting if they needed this level of lowering standards to induce josh or awaken Hindus.

I agree on passion and conviction part.

Earlier makers made films like Shirdi wale Sai baba whose songs are still used as bhajans and that film single handedly promoted Sai baba across India and was made in such a way that people actually believed baba caused miracles and some still use image of Sudhir Dalvi, as Sai baba and worship it because the actor played the role so perfectly that people began to think real Sai baba must have looked and sounded same as him.

That actor became so popular that he played Sai baba in many other shows and films afterwards and also narrated official version of Sai Satcharitra whose audio is still available online.

Contrast it to today's actors who have no divinity or gravitas nor put their soul in the character and do not come to embody it either. They are just glam dolls or beefcakes.
