But why'd one downgrade self or accept shit just for pan Indian visibility?

And that too when dubbed South films like Sivaji, Chandramukhi, Robot, Bahubali, RRR, Magadheera, KGF, Pushpa, Kantara etc have done so well in North over the years and dubbed South films are wildly popular online and on TV?

Even Rajini's Kaala, Kabali have done decent business in North.

Or one can just make own stuff like Kamal made Chachi 420, Hindustani etc. The former was a huge hit and I am sure BW would not have given him such a meaty role.

Southern actresses have also mostly gotten raw deal in BW with small or useless roles like Kaajal got in Singham, Special 26 or Asin got in Ready, Bol Bachchan or Trisha got in Khatta Meetha.

Prabhas was wasted in Saaho, Radhey Shyam which flopped. Vikram also got faltu role in Raavan Hindi version. I daresay he would be more recognised as guy from Aparachit, dubbed version than any Hindi film he did.

When you have dubbed versions of own films or can make own films, then why rely on BW or accept their disrespect or crumbs?

Internet and rise of movie channels with dubbed films and subtitled versions, have opened more options for regional stars to gain pan India or global acceptance and fame. No need to rely on BW like Rajini or Kamal had to in 80s.

Prabhas is getting bashed for failures of Saaho, Radhey Shyam and Adipurush. He should not have chosen this stuff.

it's silly for anyone to be desperate for BW. The way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if BW stars themselves become desperate for crumbs from the South.

I wonder if Prabhas himself ever felt difference in Rajamouli's way of handling epics and the dumbass who made Adipurush?

Ajay Devgan once said that in middle of the shooting of a film he could sense it was a blunder or signing it was a mistake or it would end up in a disaster. I wonder if Prabhas could ever sense this was not going to shape up well.

He would never speak about it openly, given his reserved nature. But I hope he does not get fooled by initial numbers and is more careful before signing films in future, especially in BW.

I hope others who are making films on Ramayana to cash on Ram mandir wave, better take lessons from Adipurush and either shelve projects or do better.

South stars are really talented and should concentrate on their own language movies which make better quality content.But they are tempted by the glitz and glamour popularity factor of Bollywood and want to work here.

Adipurush is getting initial numbers purely due to Prabhas and Ramayan factor.

People are going thinking it must be based on Ramayana and parents are taking kids also to see it hoping it will teach them their culture.

As WOM spreads, the real numbers will emerge. Though I think makers may be lying about its numbers just as they are trying to suppress negative reviews, satire, memes on film.

You are making Prabhas sound like either an illiterate or a man child who cannot take his own decisions. How can a mature adult and a seasoned actor be conned by someone - why would Prabhas do something which will not benefit his career and stardom? Does he not read movie scripts?

I do not know much about his career, but I am sure he must have given flops with non-Bollywood movies as well, right? Who is to blame for those failures?

Maybe Bollywood offers something which south movie industry doesn't and these guys are attracted towards it. If not, we would see a similar exchange of talent from both sides.
