Just a curious question to everyone. If this show wasn't a season 3 of well established character with the name Ram and Priya, also the repeat of NM and DP as Ram and Priya. Would we have liked the story a little bit more or I mean accepted it a bit more.

I know it feels impossible with how much I ranted about season 2 towards the end. But did Ram and Priya from season 2 set a different standard that makes it hard for me and some of us to like this season.

Like season 2 was promoted as mature love story and in a way we got it to an extent where the leads acted like people in an arranged marriage without all the trip and falling romance. Then it choose leap and lost track but I am talking about intial phase.

Also does Ram and Vedika from season 2 makes season 3 Ram and Kriti unacceptable because we don't want a repeat of it.

In short. If this story was under a different name and different characters played by different actors would we have liked it much better ?

If you ask me honestly, being someone who does not watch a lot of itv, like in 18 years, I have just watched 5-6 itv shows, that too not more than 100 or 200 epis, with bade2 being the first one ever which I watched completely until Nakuul Disha left...so as per me, I never have really liked ekta ke shows from my past experiences, so if the same production house with different actors and different names and all were there, I would not have watched it in the first place, liking that is to far fetched. So my sole reason of watching this wrecked show, s2 whole ( which I have done in itv for first time ) and now s3, are only Nakuul and Disha.

But I truly understand your question and implication. You know the first time I watched the first sneek peak of this show s3, I was like noooooo, something's amiss. Kuch to hai, but couldn't pinpoint it. Now after 16 epis, I know what it is.

The thing that distinguishes bade from all other itv shows in general and is the concept which it's built upon, is urban mature love story, where we're not used to such bubbly non serious and superficial characters which s3 ones are apparently being now.

For a comic or light watch that's fine, but otherwise, for me, bade as a brand is something with a lot of substance gravitas. Like the characters need to be complex, just like us humans in real life and the story needs to be mature and non ott or something, because that is the true beauty of it.

If I don't go into the depths of each situation, and think it superficially, and just enjoy the good moments between leads, bade3 is all good. But then my expectations rise when I say it's bade coz the s2 gave us just that. Complex, relatable characters with a mature love story, filled with those things on which real life relations exist.

You know over of these romance and trip and falling just takes that essence away which makes it different bcoz this romance is already there in most of the other itv shows right, so with bade we don't expect this.

Just like the leads were telling in the interview, why do we find bade relatable, bcoz of this very thing! Normal couples in real world don't go this trip and fall romance, they are just like s2 ram priya with a mature love story, where responsibility, trust and friendship is given more importance than love, unlike in s3 where these things don't even exist.

So coming to your question, as i said I am only watching for Nakuul Disha so I won't watch if it's some other actors and all already, but if we talk about this same story played by different people and different name, some may definitely like it, but I'm not sure about people like us. Like having seen a story like bade2, which is the reason we're not liking bade3 even, with nakuul disha also there, then there's honestly very little chance for us to like normal itv stories with different leads, who may or may not have chemistry like them and plus ekta ka production house to phir no no no, please stay away!!!

So yeah, that's my personal opinion, and sorry for stretching it so long...

Exactly my point! In this whole fiasco and marriage, it's Priya who is losing everything and is the most disadvantaged. Like she is not getting time to cope up from her pain of heartbreak, bcoz of constantly being forced to move on as she needs to meet her ex every day...plus she is being married for the sake of it, just to show people and also bcoz she doesn't want to get married later, her and her family's repo is at all stakes when she will get divorced in 3 months, she may even be called a gold digger, plus marrying a man she doesn't like at all as of now, plus proving yuvi ka point that she is the pschyo ex....just everything is wrong for her in this, but still, her being the sensitive kind and sacrificial person, is doing this just to make ram's mom happy and that her health stays fine!

No, I don't think so. Obviously, I can't tell whether my opinion is a majority or a minority one. But I feel if the show was under a different name and had different characters, I would have disliked it more. Because it takes time and effort to establish a believable universe for the new characters and make the audience root for them. So far, the way Ram has treated Priya — judged her based on how she looked in her clinic, called her Yuvi's psycho-ex, made her a pawn in a 3-month marriage contract so that his mom agrees for surgery — I do not root for this Ram. I would have wanted Priya to marry Shardul instead of Ram because Shardul seems more sensible and grounded guy. He had asked Ram, what if Priya's version of the break-up is the truth? I don't see why does Priya needs to marry a shallow man who treats her selfishly (that too for 3 months) and then drill some sense into him when a sensible guy is already around?

The fact that I am still watching this show and tolerating the loopholes in plot, and occasionally liking the lollipop scenes (self-awareness 😆) is because of Ram-Priya S2, because they really won my heart.

Yes, the same character names, the same faces of the actors, the same set where they are shooting, kind of blurs the lines for the audience. As ardent admirers of S2 RaYa it is a natural inclination to occasionally compare them with their previous avatars while watching, or wish to see something that never happened in S2 but we wanted it for the characters. Like, a happier Priya who had a supportive father, a genuine loving mom for Ram. But with the initial change in premise, Ram and Priya have become essentially different people with different life experiences and aspirations. They are not going to act identically, though I see that the essence of their characters is somewhat maintained. Priya is still a straightforward person. Ram is still a rich businessman who loves his mother.

I don't expect any out-of-the-world fresh story for RaYa (I mean, come on, this is ITV 😆) But I want to see some amount of character growth in both Ram and Priya (Esp Ram) where they turn into better versions of themselves (Priya already has my heart. That lie though) I missed this character growth in previous season.

I did not like the 3 month contract marriage idea, which has no solid reason. Such loopholes in plot break the magic of a scene by jolting the viewers back to the reality. It will make it almost impossible to root for RaYa, which was already a difficult task given Ram's initial behaviour with Priya.

But every reaction is not because of the previous season. I would have been equally furious if it was different show or a different ML character, with those fat shaming dialogues and agreeing to gf's contract marriage idea without using his brain that how this will affect Priya or his mother after the contract ends.

Basically, in the end, I want to watch good characters to root for and a story that is relatable, although yes, I wouldn't have chosen to watch this show in particular without liking the previous version of RaYa.

I don't blame Kriti for being jealous, RaYa have that chemistry even as strangers (credit to the actors). But what's wrong with Kriti 🤣 Didn't she want to concentrate on her career? Sort out your priorities, girl!

Some people are making wedding promo from S2 season and clipping on Shalini ( Shukla Mam) from her previous serial scenes.

Don't know whether EK released a real wedding promo, is it on sonylive or on youtube?

One reason for making a promo from previous season might be to avoid showing DP's preggy belly vividly. She's also using double in fruit vendor mehendi shot.... We can't complain, any woman needs rest.... So theek hai.
