Tara has already been thinking about her dad and his vachan a lot. The anklets are a brutal reminder of her being tied.

They never showed us the sagai but it might not be the best to break it, according to her.

Obviously yes- on the face of it, he was talking about the payal potentially causing her to bleed (which it did), but it was also an oblique hint at a threat. For Tara, it could mean any of the 3 (King, Bhaiji, Dhruv), but I think the Senapati meant Dhruv.

The vachan and the painting are closely interlinked for her- she said as much in today's episode.

This is the part where Tara gets afflicted with ITV FL syndrome, and it will defy every ounce of logic 😔 😛

The easier part is to prove the non-sparsh, and simply break the marriage with the help of her brother. But she probably thinks that darn painting means any effort she tries will be rendered futile because it's destiny to marry the Senapati.

The next big vachan will be her own to Susheela promising to return Dhruv to her.

Probably in the future, we might see the King eventually agree to their marriage, but he will certainly not agree to the idea of her going to the 21st century. And that "vachan" means Dhruv cannot stay in the 17th either. 🤪
