Mahesh telling Arnav “Not everyone had your foresight to keep their priorities in order, Arnav. I should have thought of my family more often. I should have learned something from you too.” sounds weird, when Arnav's divorce is out in open and it shows Arnav too is not perfect in handling family and business together.

Arnav is missing a bigger point here and needs to do a solid introspection as to why he is not ok with Khushi immediately moving on to marry someone else after divorce was already filed when he himself had moved on to end up cheating and sleeping with another woman! After all they both were drifted apart but he had moved on way before.. Her behavior considering her family into the picture is just reaction to his action of divorce!

Shyam and his mother, exact same that I had anticipated, self-centred hypocrites! They both should be in jail for his first wife’s murder and not arranging his second marriage!

I love this Payal for speaking thetruth and cornering Arnav the best. She call Arnav dimwit and curses - “If she does get married, I hope he turns out better than you. God knows she deserves it!” So true, Khushi deserves so much better!

I disagree that Arnav talking to Khushi would have changed anything, knowing Khushi she would have still chosen his happiness with the other woman and walked out with her head held high leaving Arnav with the same restlessness! He did not wish her on the anniversery, what can be a bigger hint than that? She might have heard his conversation with Lavanya and decided to isolate herself to save from further heartbreak.. She left his mother’s bangles, the pride of Raizada bahu, a clear indication that she lost hope to salvage the relationship.

Arnav is truly dimwit if he needed Payal’s smart brains to explain his own relationship with his wife or an actual love note to understand he meant the universe for Khushi! He was her everything, period. Her loyalty, love, adjustments while smiling and sacrifices were never in question, his behavior was and is!

I still believe one fact, Arnav did love Khushi and he knows it's improssible for anyone not to fall in love with her! But he took her for granted, his control freak nature, his way or highway decisions, establish business and earn money at any cost had made him compromise on ethics. Khushi being too much in love with him, starstruck by his persona, initially obliged by the marriage, and mainly being submissive by nature does not help here either.. He is a shrewd businessman who knew he could get away with ignorance or not valuing relationship as much as she did! But he went too far with his infidelity!

Still my gut feel says he finally realized his grave mistake after sleeping with Lavanya (I am assuming it's one time and not an affair but I could be wrong) that he wronged Khushi and went for divorce, righteous decion for Khushi. This was trigger point apart from not wanting to have a baby issue. Khushi being Khushi walked out feeling his happiness now lies not with her but with the other woman assuming she heard him! The letter made me cry but I will write about it later!

I will be the harshest on Arnav for sure and there is a reason! I will share once you reveal his relationship with Lavanya! The Arnav you have depicted here is so accurate and I have seen one in real life! Trust me when I say this, the Arnav is more dangerous for naive Khushi than the Shyams out there!

Arpita, you are gifted writer is a given! Your story has been on my mind all the time, especially when I figured why I was so repulsive towards this Arnav! An emotinal roller coaster ride that you have brought is amazing! We need all your stories that you wrote but never published, every single dribble!

Looking forward to the next update!

Arshi…thank you sooooo much for appreciation ♥️♥️♥️

As I promised earlier, Shyam’s chapter is here sooner than we expected. I do not want to sugarcoat his reality. A man can be a decent father and still be a horrible husband. He is the typical product of a mother who turned a blind eye to all his wrong doings. Her son was harassing a teenager for god’s sake and she didn’t see any fault with that. I wish I could say that Shanti’s character was purely fictional. And I personally believe due to this predatory behaviour of few men, women have been blessed with a sixth sense to differentiate between a good and a bad gaze. Even though on paper, Shyam may be her best prospect, but this innate sense in her is telling her otherwise. She’s seeing signs that he may not be the man he claims to be. Frankly speaking, Khushi has no respect for Shyam. And I doubt any woman can ever respect a man who harassed her. Ever.

Arnav is convinced there was nothing left to salvage between them and he needed to make Khushi understand this (the plan that went to hell because not only Khushi walked out, she went back to Uma Nagar), Akash is convinced that Arnav misses Khushi terribly and is not happy without her, that he needs to talk to her and it may change things. Payal went from being supremely pissed at Arnav for hurting Khushi to pitying Arnav for his state to being so worried about both her friends that she too, wants Arnav to give it a chance. Will her stance be the same if she learns about Arnav’s affair? Let’s see. Everyone has their own POVs but the absolute truth is only one thing - Khushi has been hurt and wronged.

At this point, Khushi’s own observations were correct. The men in her life are hurting her even with the best of intentions.

And about other Arshi stories, I will see if I want to work on them after resurgence. There were so many plots, so many characters that I jotted down all those years back because Barun and Sanaya’s chemistry is pure fire. But no promises. Right now the focus is resurgence:)

They should know the truth. Enough of Khushi taking all the blame and enough of Khushi's wishes getting trampled over and over, by both her parents and her soon-to-be-ex-husband.

I keep thinking how Khushi's condition must be worst than a caged bird now. For heaven's sake, both her parents and Arnav, allow her to fly on her own. Let her take some breaths feeling independent.

yep. They’re not aware of this little fact. Khushi truly is trapped. And she has realised that with so much stress back to back, her own body is now responding to it. Even I didn’t like writing it when she was musing about Payal and her discussion about defence mechanisms and wondering if her nonchalant reaction to things was one of them.

Khushi parents. Shyam.

Khushi parents are privy to how disgustingly Shyam had behaved 10 years ago. Verbally he has apologized and is "willing" to marry their soon to be divorced daughter that all is forgiven. Garima was overjoyed that Shyam mom likes Khushi. Her dad is relieved.

1.Have her parents even paused to think that what it feels like when someone chases you and violates your personal space? The scars don't go away with time. Anyway.

2 Shyam and Khushi for both it will be a second marriage. He in fact has additional baggage of having a child. But still Khushi is the one who should be grateful..that she is been accepted by them?

3. Shyam supposedly is remorse about his past behavior. If he has reflected and is apologetic.. the conversation should have been about how it must have affected helpless Khushi.

That it must have scared her and left a scar. It was just wrong. But the apology is that he was young and in love. He made it about him rather than the victim,Khushi!

Her parents are constrained by their environment and are her welfare is most important. How come her dad did not dig deeper with Shyam about his past behavior?.

It is because their belief that Shyam and his family are being kind and generous to marry their soon to be "divorced daughter".

Their daughter is the "problem" and like Khushi said needs to be pawned off to the first available match. Their thinking is no different than the society they live in.

Khushi is not the naive 19 year old. She understand all this and will still marry him to appease her parents!

It is time for her to be a grown up and make a sound decision. She has today both means and choices. Otherwise the blame is on her and not her parents or society.

Ps. Buaji who has lived in the same environment as her parents at least is looking at Khushi and is able to understand Khushi unhappiness,discomfort..but they dont.

Big cheer for all these points.

Have you noticed, all of them, the society, the people, even Khushi’s parents are reacting the way Arnav predicted? He was ready to go get her back when he learned and assumed she was being forced into getting married. The only thing that stopped him was mention of child which is clearly a sore point between him and Khushi. Arnav of this story may be a lot of things, but he was dead right about the fact that hurriedly moving to her hometown was a wrong decision by Khushi.

As far as the means are concerned, she doesn’t have the settlement money until the divorce. Of course her own accounts must be flowing with wealth given she was Arnav’s wife but I don’t think the woman who was unwilling to even use his car and driver anymore would touch that money with a ten foot pole. Besides, her family is turning out to be a weakness instead of strength. They really do think that divorced, infertile daughter is the problem who wants to work. They’re simply thinking they’ve struck gold with Shyam who is willing to let Khushi be happy and work as she so wanted. Plus, they’re naive people who believe this is also Khushi’s chance to be a mother. For them they’re doing the right thing and I don’t want to make them out as villains. Hearts may be in the right place but actions sure are disastrous.

I can not stop myself, have become this needy person who needs to just comment. So I think Arnav felt if he patiently explains to Khushi that there marriage was truly over and though he slept with Lavanya it happened when there marriage was already dead.

And because they had a good marriage so let’s just part on a positive note and also he wanted to make sure she was comfortable at least financially. He felt responsible for the person who was there with him throughout his journey and then he could be done with all the responsibilities. He did not want her to run back to the place he hated just to protect her.

Plus in his mind he felt he owed the divorce to himself. He no more wanted to adjust.

But what he forgot to take into account was a woman’s heart who had loved him so much that she could have given him the divorce for his happiness when few hours back she was ready to do whatever it takes to save her relationship. He did not understand that she never wanted to be his responsibility but his equal partner. He did not understand if she had the strength to be with him in his maddening journey to where he has reached now, she has the strength to leave everything(it’s not easy you know to just get up and leave) that she will not settle for crumbs. She will move out with her head held high.

Yes Khushi made a mistake by coming back to her hometown, she might be naive as Arnav believed her to be but I feel she needed to make this mistake. It will help her get up and fight for herself. May be she will learn to love herself first. She is not that 19 year old who left everything and got married because her parents wanted.

Tashi,

Are you saying one can cheat and explain if they think the marriage is dead in their mind / heart and not even trying to think the status from their sponse's perspective? Especially when here Arnav knows how much his wife dotes on him, in my eyes it's a crime! Why not straight away discuss and apply for divorce? What is the need to cheat and then explain, why not before? Knowing Khushi, if she can give in to not have kids for years for his happiness, wouldn't she have given him divorce for his happiness even without cheating? The story is in 21st century in a metro city and Arnav, the man taking decisions here, is a modern, responsible man! Do you really think the spouse who got cheated on can leave the marriage on a positive note, like seriously?

Cheating has no excuse and nothing can justify it, period! Maybe my personal view and I stand by it..

Khushi going to her native is a blunder and bigger one is even going to meet Shyam! Khushi's parents acting as if Shyam is messiah is icing on the cake! I can't turn my head around it...

Hope she steps up and salvage the situation for herself! without help of Arnav and Payal would be the best! We will see...

I want you to think! I appreciate healthy discussions and point of views...

It’s weird you know at the end it’s fiction. But somewhere it has touched something in me that I can not describe. May be because of marriages crumbling around me, may be as a girl I still feel it’s always us who have to adjust more. You can be from anywhere in the world but the fact is in most cases it’s we who have to adjust. I don’t know.

Plus you write beautifully that’s for sure.

Coming back to the chapter, I feel so sad for Khushi, Shyam is not someone she wants and I hope for once she stands up for herself and just refuse.

But the question is does Arnav actually deserve her. He does miss her, he may love her but does he love her enough. Like the photo as his wallpaper, is that actually a habit which he keeps telling himself or is that love.

If Khushi had not left and remained friends like he wanted would it still make him so sad and miserable like he is now even if she was not his wife anymore.

Then he is so sure her new husband will love her, if she was so loveable why did you let her go. I really want to bang his head like Payal.

For success he is ready to do anything even let one person go from his life who never wanted anything from him just gave.

And the biggest obstacle is his INFIDELITY which is stopping him. I don’t think that can be forgiven.

But at least he should apologise.

Also, I feel Arnav was expecting that Khushi will contest the divorce. Was he expecting that she will forgive him for his cheating episode with Lavanya when she begs him not to break the marriage.

Honestly I am confused whether Arnav actually loves Khushi or not.

Beautiful update.

this is my previous comment and there are more discussions where I have clearly mentioned infidelity can not be forgiven. I have never said cheating can be forgiven.

If you read my latest comment properly you might understand that I am just trying to decipher why Arnav thought he could have parted amicably, what he was thinking. May be these were the things he was telling himself after he strayed. Not about what is right or wrong.

Tashi,

My personal apology and glad that you and I stand on the same ground...

I agree with you, I am getting over emotional with one angle and over thinking... I have seen real Arnav in my life and I will share the experience once we get to know Lavanya details...

At one point yesterday, I was even debating in my mind even to continue reading or not, but I have decided to be strong and see through the end of the tunnel... I need to stop remembering things, digging things too for my own sanity!

I have decided just stick to the story and one comment and not overly involve! In no way I meant to hurt your feelings girl... I hope my apology reaches you because I mean it from my heart!

First of all its alright and secondly this topic is really sensitive and what Khushi is growing through has really touched all the readers at some deeper level. So it’s completely fine 🤗🤗.

I know cases where men cheat and woman takes the brunt and not all woman walk out. It’s not easy you know. So Khushi walking out shows her strength (I feel she knows about Lavanya). It doesn’t mean women who do not are weak, living with a cheater takes a lot from you.

Also, I somehow wish Arnav has actually not really cheated. Please also understand I never blame the other woman if men actually cheat. I know these discussions are really taxing. I am doing it just so that I can let it all out because honestly I am feeling very emotional with this story.

As you said healthy discussions are important, it helps us understand a different pov and grow as an individual.

Also I trust writerji for handling this topic.🤗🤗
