She wanted a vachan that no other woman would have to give an agnipariksha; nobody at the court technically gave it.

Or it "kicks in" at the next Agnipariksha?

Dhruv asks for the Rajdand to be abolished.

Senapati argues about the charitraheen part of Maharani. Dhruv rebukes him, citing Mandakini and being drunk, and says Senapati has no right talking about others' character. It almost snowballs into a verbal fight between the two before the King interferes.

King asks Dhruv to change his wish; he says that was his only one and walks away.

Nice little scene between Maharani and Dhruv where she calls him her second son and feeds him laddu. Although I'm a tad surprised that Maharani doesn't react with surprise when Tara (who is seeing all this) tells her that Dhruv could've asked for anything, but asked for her punishment to be reduced (I don't think Maharani was present when Dhruv asked for his wish 😕)

King upset that he cannot fulfill his promise; Senapati whispers something in his ear saying that he could fulfill his promise and uphold Rajdharm if he chose this option. Before whispering, Senapati thinks this is a way of getting rid of Maharani for good.

King agrees to fulfill the wish, but says she has to give Agnipariksha. Dhruv tells her not to, citing that she'll get third degree burns. Nobody understands his English though.

Despite Mahavir, Dhruv and Tara saying not to, Maharani agrees. But asks for a promise- that this will be the last Agnipariksha at Vallabgarh, and curses the kingdom if it isn't upheld.

Dhruv thinks something dramatic must be done to stop this superstition.
