Contract marriage even I wrote a ff on that years ago. So I can't honestly say it is a terrible idea but I just hate how we get to that marriage .

Emotional blackmail is ott but even I would have accepted if priya family and Ram mom both pressures then to marry. So they went for contract to get them off their backs after meeting few times randomly and deciding they share same views about marriage.

But Adding the gold digger comments, Yuvi and Priya lying to Alekha and then Ram is still actively dating Kriti makes this whole plot to another level of horrible mess 🤣.

What I mean to say is I would have taken the contract marriage if Ram and Priya were suited for each other. At this moment I don't see anything in this character that would make me ship them together

But season 3 Jaan takes the cake for being so pushy and emotional blackmailing

They will start to fall in love. But try to hold their selfs back.. rams gf will realize she doesn’t want to share him and wants him back, but RaYa are too much invested in and will choose to stay together.. that is my prediction 😂🤣…

There are so many sweet love stories based on contract marriages, why couldn't they write something like that. Even in a finite show they have to show emotional blackmail, exes drama, ML trying to take advantage of FL's emotional vulnerability just because he cannot man up to tell the truth to his mother... I can't believe they made Ram insensitive and Priya a liar. At least they could have retained the original character sketch before introducing so much drama.

And honestly, I don't think the writing is bad because the PH can't get good writers. They can. I just watched a web show today by Alt Balaji (yeah, the one which has Barun and Riddhi), a decent romantic story that too in 10 episodes. But when it comes to TV, we get too many side characters and/or negative characters, illogical tracks that are bound to have loopholes, no character growth of the leads. We don't want a complicated story esp since it is a finite show, we just want a good character arc for the leads and a sweet sincere love story, one where no exes are kabab mein haddi.

The other day I got a S1 episode in my recommendation, the RaYa scene was so sorted and beautiful. Initial S2 episodes were also very good. It should be the same in S3 as well.
