First mistake the production team and star Bharat did was to interfere in creative liberty of old director Dharmesh Sir. He basically had an idea of how an Indian show has to run. So he tried to balance everything, he never asked the writers to change scripts . For maintaining TRP they had to show some drama. So the supporting cast Chaachi, Amba , HP all got enough scenes. The problem pointed by channel team was there are no sufficient eyelocks unlike other serials, or dupatta falling on hero's face and all those typical things . But director strongly said Vidhi and Dev's story need a slow and steady growth and what we showing is different unlike the other serials. He had to compromise a lot . He was friendly yet very professional director until the right short won't get he won't leave any actor and this rule was applied to all actors not just for leads. Everything was going well..But later the interference of production team, channel went high and he felt his way of creativity is being blocked. So the time when he was leaving they changed the writers and then the post marriage episodes were directed by new director. He lacks consistency in showing the plot. Moreover scripts are changing time to time . And actors are like mere puppets in their hands.

How would the dimwits know what it takes to put together a good story. Actually none of these channel guys are creative in the true sense. It's like they follow a tried and tested recipie, ek couple, 100 siyape, jardosi saadi, SR in tent, more 1000 siyappe... villain wins but truth wins in last 30 secs of last episode and Vamp goes to jail.

I miss Dharmesh sir, he used to make Iqbal and Rachana redo scenes from different angles till he got it right and kept everyone's characters intact

This is the biggest issue of ITV. The second these channel heads get involved in any show, they ruin the progression, performance and everything

Ultimately the actors and show makers get fed up and close the show

This show should have been ott, it would have been more crisp on focused on age gap
