Because that is all the writers can do for his character. He doesn't have the history and past like all the other characters on the show. He is an orphan so he has no real family. He only gained a family when he helped Akshu.

This is why with Abhinav still in the picture the story goes no where and we have been doing circles.

I think Abhinav will remain "positive" because the writers keep having every character mouth how he is an "accha aadmi"
