If he accompanied her before then why not now? And at least she is still focusing on herself and daughter and putting her needs first. It shows she is not under his control.

I dont think so. I have seen so many men treating their wives badly in Pakistan with their sisters supporting them. Also, if their sister is in an unhappy marriage, they will support and favour her, while they continue to abuse their own wives.
