One look of appreciation doesn't mean love. Actually his interaction with Sai, P & Shruti were completely different. You can appreciate someone's look even that person belongs to opposite sex. If someone doesn't accept that his or her spouse is in trouble.

If Virat taking phera while crying & thinking about Sai is seen as proof of his love for Sai then Sai too shouldn't be bashed for thinking about Virat & saying his name while doing vrat as Satya's wife. That too should be seen as Sais love for Satya then.

I personally think NB showed difference between Virat's feelings for Sai & P well even in parallel scenes. He may have faltered at times. He was working with his own wife with whom he is close & intimate way more than his on screen love. But actor including Ayesha have some bad days.

Statement : "If Virat taking phera while crying & thinking about Sai is seen as proof of his love for Sai"

Now going by Clause 1, not everyone saw it as a proof of Virat's love for Sai. It is quite possible that many saw it as a definitive proof of his spinelessness and two-timing.

The script of ghkkpm was clear in terms of who V loves and it was always Sai. But NB wasn't clear and didn't follow the script . He also meddled in the script to make V an out and out two-timer, chester, criminal, abuser essentially ruining the one constant that we had been sold as audience that V loves Sai. Because that foundation itself was ruined. Coz now looking at V its clear that he doesn't know what love is. He loves nobody!

He always had better on screen chemistry with Ayesha more than his own gf turned wife and in the initial days he genuinely was good , thats why Sairat became such a hit. Just like Ayesha he used to do a good job in Sai V scenes.

But then he faltered. And then he declined SO much that its obvious he was deliberately sabotaging. He was meant to show pain, angst, longing for Sai but he ONLY showed anger and disgust. He used to always overdo the physical closeness to P and fail to fulfil the demands of playing a character V for whom Sai was his "love" and P was his vahini and "farz". He also got proper scenes to show "love" for Sai post leap also but he used to do social distancing or use BDs conveniently in many scenes making them fall flat while Ayesha tried the best to make up for it.

So essentially he has done this himself. And he's done this consistently despite feedback. Thats why he's disliked so much because he didn't even follow the narrative and fulfil what's pretty clear in the script. He was giving tight hugs and mesmerized lust/longing filled looks to P and when he was asked to hug Sai he didn't show the distinction. If he as an actor who's been in the business for 10 + years cant fulfill the demand of the script and the clear diktat to see Sai as Vs love and P as vahini/farz then its his failure. Audience does not care who the F he's married to or not married to. He needs to do his job.

If he twists the plot to make real wife into reel wife and force makers to deviate from OG so much and then expects audience to accept that crap, thats not happening. He did a lot to put chemistry and do extra intimacy in scenes with P but it all looks cringe. Pukeworthy stuff. There are enough married, committed actors who can do their job well so if he cant, he needs to just quit and stop ruining others hardwork. If he thinks just coz he's married people need to only watch /enjoy his scenes with real wife, thats not gonna happen because they dont have onscreen chemistry. Their PDA is cringe of highest order. They dont complement each other as V and P no matter how hard they try. But he did ruin his onscreen chemistry with Ayesha by deliberately underperforming or giving overly aggressive expressions. If he cant show softness to Sai as V, then he has failed. When was the last time he genuinely showed he cared for Sai?! Not fake insincere words but in his performance and body language whem did he communicate genuine love?! His entire proposal track was a sham. His behavior during Vinu reveal did not show amy actual care, concern. The last time i remember actual care, good performance was MiMo track after he royally underperformed and screwed up during Shruti track. During remarriage/confession/Shivani marriage some scenes were good but it wasn't actually that great. In bahu/career track and then post Sam death in not even one scene did he show true love waale expressions. And then leap happened and again him remembering Sai was all hogwash. Barely anything. He has only showed aggression. All apologies have been cursory and fake. And now show is ending and he's essentially done with it- so ab toh all the more he doesn't care. He'll just ham his way through whatever is left.

I meant love for Pakhi. His taking phera with P was out of his love for P. But it was him trying to move on. His convo night before was how he can never love P.
