Is it just me or anyone else feel the same?
1. The irritation i feel for Sai, is getting deflected to Ayesha as well, i mean i know she is doing her work and script writers are deciding it but still and her acting chops are also not upto the mark. At this point, Ayesha/ Sai are following Neil/ V footsteps, in my mind and people really know what i feel for latter, not that it matters but still (no offence to Ayesha stans)
2. When we craved for SaiRat scenes when they were in prime, they showed toxicity, rushed through the re marriage phase with that senior thorat, Jaggy, Sammy's death, surrogacy and separation, now they are showing recently shot scenes as flashbacks which evoke disgust in me, seeing them.
Vanku first lost his golden goose SaiRat, now he also lost the OG Sai, can he soon lose all the TRPs, anyways all his other shows are either off air or soon will be, this one should too.
No matter how much people deny but actors (especially TV actors) are good as their characters.
Many actors who stereotyped into playing negative role are hated by most audience despite them being gentlemen in RL - many heros who are trash in RL are still hailed heros cause audience cant break free of their onscreen hero images- unless they actively engaged w audience through SM and never defended the negative shade they played
What makes them likable in real life is their interaction with viewers as themselves and not characters- and when they do that they need to be open and acceptive about character flaws. Most actors who ate loved for plying grey black characters are the ones who never defended those characters and proudly said we are playing a character-something no one should be.
That is where Bs and PH failed. Play whatever shade on earth you want but just don’t come and defend those actions- that was the issue. A lawyer giving IV saying his character locked his wife as disciplinary action and he is not wrong in his place sets tone. Even if you are asked to do that by PH- there are personal boundaries people draw.
Like I will pay you to say/do this- but its my choice if I agree to do that or not.
And he always seem to have a choice- he chose not to promote Sairat- I am sure PH would have not denied him from doing that- so he has a choice to do it or not do it and out of all he choose to defend abusive character and give ‘positive’ POV of abusive actions. Again- Good for him!
But doing that he lost a place in my eyes.
With Ayesha- she seem to go for- dont indulge, do your work and be done. Which is fine and how it should be in most cases but here its issue because its known for a while that her character is most loved/accepted but since long that love is only misused. Kind of lure viewers with Sai and show triggering victim blaming, shaming and ww of abusers. My only wish is - kash she used the love and support she was given to demand some change in ‘narrative’ not story but ‘narrative’. One qhere you show wrongdoings as they happen in real life but also show- It is wrong! Instead of glorification of it.
If I know my employer is wrong and still I choose to play along, especially when I am in position to leverage my wight and still stay silent- its my fault.
However - I am not done with this still- I still feel a person like her would not stay true to such regressive content. I have a positive prediction and I will wait till this generation story ends to see if its true or we are fooled again. That will make me admire the person Ayesha.
As actor she has more strength than weakness IMO but Ghum’s crass story since Shruti track has not utilized it.
Few of her scenes that I would watch again n again are- Her breakdown after Aba’s death, Her first night in CN(alone in room), Her breakdown post Vinu’s rejection, Her scene w Virat when she was dancing in her room first time (mohe rang do lal wala- mostly for ahort conversation after), Few more scenes post her marriage w Virat where she shows confused with his ever flip flopping behavior
Closing my post (rant, opinion, blabbering or whatever you call it) with one of my favorite VM of Sai tht captures all minute scenes of Ayesha I loved - I wish someone makes an extended version of it.🥺
