Farhan should just not make a Don 3. SRK's charm was the heart of that new Don franchise. There's no one from the new generation that can do it.

There was no point to Don 2 and 3 is definitely not needed. Nobody actually cares about the Don series. It's only Twitter hype.

Farhan largely lost the opportunity...and every year he (or Sidwani) made an allusion to a Don 3-in-the-pipeline which wasn't true at all. After the HNY shooting again an alluding from Excel side but nothing happened, SRK lost the interest...he made Dilwale for his fans to have at least a movie in 2015 and then, he wanted to concentrate on more challenging roles (which he did with Fan etc.). He did Raees with Excel and since then, no collaboration anymore.

Yeah, a 3rd was somehow a promise...but then, PC got a bit too confident and played a rather shady PR-game which resulted in more or less an "out" for her in a Don 3...it was an uneasy situation and SRK agreed to do a movie with Shetty (CE)...(something light action after the Yashji movie).

I don't think that there will be a Don 3.

SRK's Don deliberately was stylish, a bit cartoonish and very feline...not at all like Amitji's. Yet they did a remake with a twist. How would fit another Don into these movies? Seven years ago, that could have still made sense to have a 3rd SRK-Don... but Farhan was busy with other projects (I suppose he hadn't really good ideas).
