Why they started off giving nostalgic feels of 70s Amol Palekar movies and then drifted off to Ayushman's brand of small town humour?

Except the font, nothing looked like Hrishikesh Mukherjee level or brand of humour ( situational comedy is not easy to pull off without going caricaturish, Mukherjee mastered the art hence his movies are timeless).
