but they were copying KD, KD mein toh clearly the P character is other woman, not Sai. And that was the case with the Tamil version before ghum also. every version- now marathi and telegu/kannada also- that bit of Sai V characters being the actual soulmates, endgame was intact. So i doubt that they had the creative vision of VP being the endgame from the beginning. maybe they considered it because they realized VP were together in real life and so they though they would capitalize on that but audience didnt care. in fact online audience ke saath that made them even more sympathetic to Ayesha because they were seeing her being sidelined and treated badly despite being a newcomer and the FL. She was the underdog and people got firmly behind her. especially because she was so gracious, started improving on her craft and her performances. And on top of that ASB and NB with their dropping standards of acting, especially ASB and their nonstop offscreen antics made audiences dislike them. plus toxicity of plot was amped up. in KD, Tam and now even marathi versions- family was not toxic and criminal to the extent of ghum. Online audience for sure was watching offscreen antics but even TRP audience prolly saw them on SJ and cringed. so even more everyone was rooting for Sai, Sairat only and that anyway was the OG plot. despite that they messed with the plot so much that they forced VP down our throats with Sam death early, surrogacy and eventually leap, VP marriage and adopting a child also- and that made audience demand a new ML for Sai coz now many of us cant stomach the idea of Sairat also. Sairat is DEAD and should remain so.
