Every relationship in this world demands certain amount of compromise. How the person making compromise or adjustment views it is differs from person to person. Some may say we do it out of love , some are duty bound , few as responsibility, few as obligation and few by force but all of them at some point do it and that’s what matters.
All of them are correct if we look from their point of view and no one is wrong ! The situation and circumstances are wrong !
As for as Murtasim- What is marriage if it can’t stand and face the test of time!
Meerub- What is need to stay in marriage if you don’t find it worth fighting for ?
It’s is not about who is right or wrong ? It is how much your are ready to accept someone with their faults and spend rest of your life with them!
No person is flawless and no relationship perfect and no marriage without problems!
You know there was a girl in my neighbourhood who was in same situation as maryam and she ran away 2 days before her marriage and married her lover who also lives in same neighborhood.
Boomers obviously were blaming girl.
But for me i instantly thought what kind of toxic parents they were that their kid decided to run away.

Can I say something it’s absolutely wrong to say that all couples who elope do it because they have strict parents or they don’t receive love at home. And strict parenting doesn’t mean loveless parenting.
In India at-least main reason why parents reject love marriages is difference of social status , religion or caste more than guy /girl itself and this rejection has grounds also because going fwd it causes a lot of issues .
What was Waqas saying? Whenever he used to go, Maa Begum used to celebrate. When?
It was like whenever he came there MB used to question his upbringing & insult & taunt Merub... Waqas ke kaan pak jaate the! And that delusional man thought it was fireworks to welcome him!🤣
