I honestly don't know where this obsession with sasural and sasuralwaalon ka izzat coming from. What kind of a family supports people who abused their own daughter. Disgusting. I mean it is kind of expected from k dadi and her son considering how they worshipped Aditya and wanted Kirti to stay in an abusive marriage. But here Abhimanyu is not even married to Akshara anymore. And Aarohi is a financially independent widow. I don't what is wrong with Goenkas.

I think it is just the regressive take yrkkh takes. Always showing the girl's family as living with the fear of hurting the sasural sentiments. Yuck!

Totally agree with you except there is one thing that you are missing. The Goenkas obsession with Arohi's happiness. They are all very well aware that the one thing , the only thing that will make Arohi happy is becoming Abhimanyu's wife so they do not want to upset Manjari and rock that boat. Akshara has always been a throw away child for them, someone who they can rely on, someone who they can take for granted, who they do not have to pay much attention to. So if she went through something its OK, they may even support her. But if Akshara's troubles impact Arohi then they will not hesitate to throw Akshara and her happiness under the bus. Case in point, when Akshara came to Udaipur with her critically ill 5 year old son, Manish Goenka actually told her that she needs to make sure that this does not disrupt or impact Arohi's happiness. What kind of grandparents will care about a wedding over the LIFE of a young child. Even earlier they let her stay away because her presence bothered Arohi. A sane family would have told Arohi off. Goes to show the value and importance that Akshara has in the lives of the Goenkas. They have never once thought about her happiness. Also shows you how important parents are. If Naira and/or Kartik would have been alive I doubt they would have let their daughter be treated the way Akshara has. This is also why Abhimanyu's betrayal impacted her so much. This was the one person who claimed to put her and her happiness first but when push came to shove, he turned out to be like the rest of the family. Her happiness and she were just not important enough

Specially Mimi and Suvarna. If AR was marrying a third person one can still maybe just maybe ignore this attitude. They all are shown as stupid, dumb and illiterate. You get one member from the family acting dumb here all are the same. Not one person thought otherwise. They are so united in their thinking. Atleast at BH ppl are divided. Most of them are not in favour of the marriage now that the truth is out.

I was hoping rather than talking always about Nav if they focused on Goenkas being empathic to AK pain it would help. Just my view. The Goenkas are so useless …no wonder AK did not come back to them all these years.

That is precisely why they are a horrible family to have. Totally justifies Akshara not coming back home or even telling them about Abhir. Imagine if they knew the truth about Abhir. They would have forced her to hand Abhir over to the Birlas. No matter how the Birlas are most of the time, they at least treat their own sons/ daughters well whether it is wrong or right. Despite the fractured relationship that Mahima had with Anisha she valued her daughter over Kairav. Even Manjari is doing what she is for her son's happiness. Isn't that what families are supposed to do? Stand in your corner when the world is against you. Goenkas will throw Askhara under the bus for any aera gaera nathu khera: first Arohi, the Abhimanyu and Manjari and now even Abhinav. Everybody else's happiness is more important than Akshara.
