You are right it’s not strict in India

but she has to prove she’s next of kin. As of now she’s the mother of Abhir’s mom’s ex husband, who divorced his mom in a minute,😆 just with one signature done. I am still wondering who keeps divorce papers at home ready. It’s a Hindi serial so logic takes a back seat but it’s fun to laugh at such things.
