Yes I have.

Idk why but someone I wasn't the biggest fan of decided I'm their best friend.

They didn't have much of a support system back then so I felt guilty of abandoning them when they needed a friend the most. So I stuck around.

Now I have grown to like the person.

I've heard stories but no personal experiences yet.

My maternal grandfather's side of the family believes they're cursed by the snake gods because they cleared a piece of land they owned back in the day that supposedly was the snakes' abode.

After that, bad things began to happen to the people who were guilty of it and even continued to haunt the future generations.

Do I believe this? Not really.

Do I still partake in counter measures done by my relatives to keep the bad luck at bay? Yes. Not out of free will.

i have remained civil with people that i don't like too much but i wouldn't call them my friends

It's like asking questions makes you the bad one .... No answers makes them bitter.... Their generation never asked questions or logic, just followed and so dnt have answers now..... Poor them at some level!!
