The main villain of this drama is kim's father.

He ran away from home leaving his fiance in a society like that to live the life he wanted to live, got married to the girl he wanted to marry and had a happy family in a liberal society. Now he is taking away Kim's right to live the life the way she wants?😡

Taking her phone and passport with him was such a low move. To start with he got a girl that open minded married to a household he clearly knows is very conservative and regressive. Then closed all doors for her to run away. He hardly knows dawood. What if he physically abuses kim? Kim won't be able to call anyone for help or file a complaint. She is not a citizen of pakistan and passport is such an important thing. She could be jailed for not having it . Ye baap hai ya dushman. People like him are more dangerous. They hide behind the facade of liberalism and maintain a good guy imagine but will stab you in the back. If he knew his grandfather don't like zulfi why did he went to meet him in the first place? It's not zulfi that came searching for him or his daughter. Now insulting that poor guy and making him feel like an outsider is so cruel. The least he could do is pacify the grandfather and ask him to let zulfi come to the wedding since he is the only one kim knows in Pakistan.

Everything dawood told kim at the terrace is applicable to him and his grandfather as well. The hypocrisy was baffling. Kim is ill mannered and stubborn for not trying to change her pov and thinking she is in the right but him and his grandfather are right for doing the exact same thing.🤬

I think the drama is trying to show how wrong kim is and she will become the ideal Pakistani girl but it looks like she is fine but the rest of them needs to become ideal human being😆

Why does the grandfather even want dawood to marry kim? If he wanted a submissive wife for dawood then get him married to a girl like that. Why force him to marry an independent broad minded girl and then advice him to learn to control her and make her submissive? kim is not a wild horse and dawood isn't a horse tamer 🤪

Kim after seeing so many red flags still is ready to jump on the well thinking she has an escape opinion. The girl don't know her own father back stabbed her and left her alone in an unfamiliar place to fetch for herself. Konsa baap hai jo apni beti ko easi jagah akele chod deta hai?

Ofcourse, yeh sara raita naveed uncle ka hi phailaa hua hai. First he ran away from his marriage and now he ran after his daughter's marriage.

If kim is like that, that's also his fault. He is the one who gave her all liberty and now, he is leaving her alone in such situation.

I feel dawood's character is much better but his dada is a extremist. His mentality needs to get change. Both kim and dawood's grandfather are extreme personalities. According to them they are always right. They like to dominate. Dawood is not like that. Dawood wesa hota toh dada ki instructions ko follow karky, kim ko darata. But woh khud hi darr giya 😂

I believe both parties need to change for better. Taali dono haathon sy bajti hai, if kim needs to change then this family, especially grandfather also need to change their old school thoughts.

Finally watched last week's episode.

It was a good watch.

Here, kim asking dawood to stay in his limits make sense. She didn't say she will never give him his rights as a husband. She said she will when she is comfortable with him and why on earth did dawood think he will get lucky on his suhaagraat🤣. He was really going for it. 🤣 what kim said was right. Why would he want to be physical with a girl he don't like simply because he can? It simply means any guy will bed a girl if they can and being married gives them legal and cultural rights. What the girl wants is irrelevant in this matter. I also liked how kim was fine sleeping on the sofa when dawood said it's his room. She wasn't behaving like an entitled brat.

This grandfather is the second villain of the drama. I get that dawood's father was just having gas problem but the symptoms of a heart attack is same as gas. I lost my uncle because he though he was having gas issues when in real he had a severe heart attack. If he was taken to the hospital on time he could have been saved. Kim's concern was valid. Dawood being a doctor didn't even come close to his father and checked if he was having gas issue or a heart attack. Kya doctor banega re tu🤪

Dawood's mother is hating on kim while kim is defending her in front of dawood. What can the mother do if the father eats whatever he wants without thinking about his health?

Kim's father was right about one thing. It's impossible to change the mind set and pov of people as old as the grandfather. It's sensible to let them be and don't waste time arguing with them.

After the marriage, mostly there are two scenarios.

First Scenario:

Everyone is bad but the guy she married is good and he becomes a shield against everyone and helps her to deal with the circumstances imposed on her. Also, this type of marriage will remain unconsummated as the guy is so honorable that he won't touch the girl until or unless she also wants this.

Examples: Tere Bin, Mujhe Pyar Hua Tha, and most probably Yunhi will also fall in the same category.

Second Scenario:

The guy is flawed so the girl's task is to win the heart of the guy, repair him, and save her marriage.

Examples: Tere Bina Mein Nahi, Pyari Mona, Kuch Ankahi

Whenever the girl tries to break the forced marriage, she is a villain.

Example: Agar

I'm only watching the above dramas but there must be more. I know Hook has a forced marriage, but I don't know in what category it belongs.

In yunhi, kim married dawood out of her own will even though she don't have any particular liking for him. She wanted to experiment. It's dawood that was forced into it or more like didn't open his mouth and went with it. It's like Kim digged a hole and dawood willingly jumped into it. Neither of them are in the right.

In KA, even though both of them married under pressure, saif is not a bad guy or unemotional or cruel towards samiya. He is in an abusive relationship and that's more of a psychological issue than the cliche things we see. We won't be saying a woman is flawed if she was in an emotionally abusive relationship. We will be encouraging her to get out of it rather than blame her for being controlled by a man.

I am not watching any of the other shows so have no idea what's happening in them

Yes, in Yunhi, the blame goes to Kim as it seems that she did it willingly. Yet, his father knew that she was in the mood of breaking that marriage any time she wants, and he made sure that she can't do it so now, the marriage is kind of forced on her.

In Kuch Ankahi, we can call it a psychological issue but we're not that broad-minded if a girl was doing the same what Saif was, and is doing. He had a relationship with a girl and now he has an extra-marital affair. It boils my blood that when a guy has an affair before or after the marriage, a wife's task is to save her marriage and win his heart but if the girl has it then she simply gets the tag of 'bad kirdaar aurat'.

@red. In Hook the girl were forced to get married to a guy as a revenge. Now she wants to fulfil her duties as a loyal wife. So it belongs to the second category.😆
