What is it about Gujarat Titans and chases that make them so indomitable? A chase essayed to perfection. They lost Wriddhi Saha early but Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya stitched a superb 50 run partnership. Gill played aggressor in the powerplay, picking out gaps and scoring freely against the pacers. It looked like these two might just finish the game off at one stage, but KKR responded with two quick wickets as Pandya and Gill were out off successive overs. Vijay Shankar and David Miller took some time to settle in, the former in particular looked like he was handing the inititiative away. But Vijay Shankar knew exactly what he was doing, as he switched gears at exactly the right time to thump Chakravarthy for three sixes to get a 24-ball fifty. Miller started that carnage to take down Suyash Sharma who had bowled beautifully till that point. In the end, GT chased down the target with more than two overs to spare. No one apart from Gurbaz and Russell got going. There were not enough partnerships and had we had a partnership of 40-50 runs, the score could have been more. We kept them quiet in the middle overs but against such teams, if you do not take your chances, you will end up on the losing side. If we do well in all three departments, only then will we have a chance. Unless we do that, the result will not be in our favour. I feel the small moments are more important than the big moments. If you do these small things well, like taking catches and fielding well, there are more chances of victory.
