No comparison at all. Hands down it is Madhuri.

Totally queen of masses and had insane fan following, made even crap films hits as people turned out only to see her songs and dance.

Self made woman.

I am not her fan but her consistency in giving hits and her sway over masses is unmatched by any actor or actress after her generation. Last empress of sorts. There is a reason why likes of Sri and MD reached a point where they were being paid more than male co stars and their names alone got good price for films.

Even flops got noticed for songs of MD.

Madhuri is still a sought after star on TV and online and a brand in herself.

Hrithik had a great debut and gave hits like Krissh, KMG, D2, JA, War but never had as consistent and insane stardom among masses as Madhuri had at her peak.

Madhuri gave ATBB like HAHK which was mostly famous for her songs and costumes. She made trash films like DIL and Beta as HGOTYs. No comparison at all.

Sorry. Madhuri got more accolades for Saajan and her songs became bigger hits. Not Sanjay. Sanjay got credit for Khalnayak but that film made equal news for Choli song of MD.

Aamir was going through super disaster phase post QSQT. Madhuri saved his career with a hit like Dil amidst dozens of flops of his. She gave a hit like Raja with a total flop like Sanjay Kapoor.

Madhuri got way more accolades for Beta compared to Anil. That film is a success purely due to her and that Dhak Dhak song.

Karishma and others may have stolen show in DTPH and Devdas but MD's songs were equally hits and she won awards and added to star power of those films even though she was ageing beyond her prime when she did these films.

Madhuri gave an ATBB like HAHK which shattered all records and all her songs and costumes became popular. I want to know what earth shattering ATBB has Hrithik given where he was solo main lead and star of the show and it was no multi starrer like K3G.

There is no comparison. Madhuri mostly overshadowed all her co stars, including heroes atleast till 1996. She is main reason why Lajja type films are also remembered - one song was enough.

Most importantly she is self made and never relied on particular banner or papa to make customised roles, scripts and films for her. Her sway over masses was total and her appeal cut across genders and ages. She never had mainly urbanised image or only overseas fame or multiplex fame. Single handedly set even little known single screen theatres in small towns on fire.

Hrithik WASTED his potential. Period. He did too few films or took too many breaks or reduced himself to urban image and wasted mass appeal by trying to look like wannabe Hollywood star.

He could never beat Khans and often even Ajay, Ranbir, Ranveer overtook him.

Only in time of KNPH, KMG, Krissh, D2 he was able to outshine other heroes. Otherwise not exactly setting BO on fire. Other exceptions maybe Agneepath or ZNMD, Jodha Akbar at the most but they are no Ghajini, 3 Idiots, Dangal, Dabangg, Dhoom 3, PK or Sanju type huge grossers. Nor do I remember HR giving string of huge hits like Salman, SRK gave in 90s or Salman gave post 2010 or Aamir gave post Lagaan.

I do not see HR that ambitious or competitive either.
