Melody belongs to you and to me too, universal, so it is not stealing, let us call it as sharing. Two souls singing the same tune! 🤗🤗

Raji, this is the first time I've heard this song. I appreciate you giving this song to us. 🤗

Geeta Bali's charm, grace, and energy radiated spontaneously in each of her songs.

She was her own saviour and liberator—she wasn't the damsel in distress waiting for the prince charming to save her in any of her films! She was a kind woman who was always willing to lend a hand, in fact, she encouraged and introduced Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra to the Hindi cine field.

Of course, I am not a good fan of those two actors. That is different. But I like Geeta for her teasing and charming smile. ❤️

Movie : Jaal

Music Director: SD Burman

Singer : Lata Mangeshkar

Director: Guru Dutt

This song is one of those that won’t leave my head once I hear it- now I’m gonna be humming it for days 😆 & driving everyone around me crazy 😆.But I can’t let any mention of this go without posting Kalakkapattam. S.D.B picked up just the main refrain from it but he gave it such a twist that Dekhne mein bhola hai sounds like an out and out Punjabi song whereas the og is totally South flavoured. Music is truly a universal language! ⭐️

Here's Madhubala extolling the joys of a lovely mausam, that I very well understand since we've been having some of it lately! 😛 She's joined by a bunch of girls that agree, joining in the chorus from time to time - all this at a swimming pool nonetheless!

Song: Thandi hawa kaali ghata

Film: Mr. & Mrs. 55 (1955)

Music: O.P. Nayyar

Lyrics: Majrooh Sultanpuri

Singer: Geeta Dutt & Chorus

Very true Priya. Music is a universal language. With music, you can communicate across cultural and linguistic boundaries in ways that you can’t with ordinary languages!

Regarding this super hit song--

A trained dancer, she is seen here during her one of the first song sequences “Kallakapatam Kaanani Vada”, it was a super hit song from Rojulu Marayi (1955) had a catchy tune and Waheeda’s beautiful dance steps made it instant hit. She was just 16 year old girl at that time. Never intended to join films. It was here that she was spotted by noted Bollywood actor and film-maker, Guru Dutt, who gave her a lead role in C.I.D. She went on to appear in 5 Guru Dutt classics - Pyaasa, 12 O'Clock, Kaagaz Ke Phool, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, Chaudhvin Ka Chand.

Thanks for sharing this ❤️

Neha and Riya, Not to worry.🤗

I too posted comments in wrong threads many times. It happens when I open multiple threads and chit chat with everyone at the same time. I once posted a thread in a wrong forum. Members who were online at that time flocked to my thread to post comments. Just funny and witty comments though.

So, all is well.👍🏼

Cheers..
