Yes, it is not expected from his character even in love struck phase. Also, I find it funny that director had this scene with Viaan and Ehsan where Ehsan is actually saying all those things that we are also feeling about what Viaan is doing..its like justifying to us viewers like look this is not what i m doing.. but the point is everything is so verbal and not in action.. Openly saying to her that I am there if you need any help.. I will wait for you.. and I will keep loving you and all - these are not mature signs of a person who is trying to keep a distance and not disturb as per say. He is actually doing what he is saying not doing. He is being intrusive , he is staring her as if there is no other work he has in the office apart from just staring her and smiling about it. I understand that director wants to depict long wait of 1001 nights or whatever intentions are.. that love needs patience.. but patience need not be on display to the other person. Katha should feel it by his actions more not by his words..
I miss old Viaan , i don't know where they are going with this one..
Totally echo your thoughts! It is so frustrating/annoying to see Viaan doing all this. I could identify with Viaan much more than with Katha and he was the character I understood and liked most in the show. With each passing episode the writers are reducing him into a joke! I was cringing in that office scene when he just stood and stared while she was trying to get some real work done. Its good the Earthcon employees have blinkered vision and are mostly focused on their work unlike their CEO, otherwise it would be very awkward for Katha! He is beyond caring for his own reputation anyway🤣! The dialogues are all on point but his actions are completely contrarian to his words. He is in her face all the time while saying I will maintain my distance.
And like you said Ehsaan was us yesterday, and Teji also told him in a an earlier episode (her motives aside, she did point out that it would put pressure on Katha if her boss is showing too much interest in her after she said no). But they seem to gloss over it by him saying I am there just for her waiting on the sidelines.
What is even more bothersome is that in bird land everyone is swooning over this behaviour of Viaan. When people, esp. women start finding this constant staring adorable instead of intrusive then that means the dramas are romanticising and normalising it. Or is it just because the person in question is a handsome, young guy who is the ML of the show so its all ok?
Was trying to refrain from ranting but more than the makers ruining the show for me, am so upset cause of people finding this behaviour cute!
PS. To all the people who are finding VR adorable in this phase, sorry to be a spoil sport, but having been at the receiving end of such behaviour at various points in my life I get totally riled when anyone normalises such things. Maybe my own biases/experiences are triggering me😃!

I know a lot many real life stories in colleges where boys chase girl even after rejection and keep proposing and girl finally give up and later they become couple.

If you say Eshan approach is manipulative which it is then Viaan approach is also disturbing especially using boss power to come to her cabin and stare her for long time.
Regarding sincerity, may be you felt Eshan was not sincere because of his flirty nature or because of his past which is fine. Or may be you think Eshan was not sincere because he give up easily that is also OK. Or may be you know Eshan is not lead character so he can't be serious 🙄.
Agreed, and like i said it is an extremely frustrating experience and definitely not right on his part.
But I still stand by my understanding of the sincerity in his emotions and again like i mentioned in my previous comments multiple times, do i like this approach- not at all!
And coming to lead character thing, we all know what the ending is going to be 😂😂😂 But we still have discussions by considering them as individual characters right! So this was done in a similar fashion☺️

I feel that we all are coming from similar biases and experience. What others appreciating it are not realizing that in real life these things are not that rosy and charming and as far as intentions are concerned, it does not matter what intentions he hold, he is just belittling himself and nothing else. This is not a college romance , it is their office and they are supposedly adult mature people. They are not doing the talks.. but just giving speeches on how Mahaan he is .. he is not displaying any Mahanta in his love here..Love is about setting someone free not making them claustrophobic or suffocated by your constant approaches.. I just came to say bye.. lol..by the way i will not be disturbing u but i will keep loving u.. For me also Viaan was really amazing character and thus seeing him reduced to this person makes me angry. I was never angry on Viaan even during ONS and before that whatever he did. This lover boy following katha is more irritating to me..
I dont mean to offend the people here.. but they lost out on good opportunity to show a more beautiful character growth that Viaan could have during this phase..

Hey Mango...I thought of you the other day when I was admiring Teji's saree...the grey net saree she wore to office was so gorgeous. And in the very next scene she was wearing this grey suit when she visited Garewal, again a lovely outfit. However horrible her character, she is hands down the best dressed besides Kavita😆!!

Definitely...she looks pretty well turned out except for the weird faces she makes 😆!! I am noticing the clothes now cause I am so unhappy with what is actually happening in the scenes🤣
