Abuse against doctors is absolutely unacceptable. Doctors are humans too and do not have the power of being omnipresent. But this applies to those situations where the doctor was busy attending another patient or an emergency. Duty hours mein bacche ka homework leke baith jaoge aur patient ko attend nahi karoge toh galiyan khaoge. Woh toh bechara Abhinav itna ACCHA hai ki itna hi sunaya.

Abuse doctors might face is a very serious issue..nd this is a show that's why logics don't apply here but abhiM is a surgeon he's not required to be present when a patient needs to get tests done.. hospitals have a pathology for that.. it's only when the reports are ready...that too might go through some junior doctors first

He had an appointment with the patient. And during duty hours he should be there in the hospital regardless of the fact that he is a senior or a junior.

You are aware that the surgeon's job is not just doing surgeries right? They too attend patients in opds and ipds. A patient admitted under his name is his responsibility 24/7

He had called them for getting some tests done..hospitals are also organisation per se..they have people to do certain job especially for surgeries there is always an entire team which includes nurses ,gp whichever doctor is required, nd each of them have their role...his work is writing what tests need to be done not doing the tests...a patient under him is his responsibility but that doesn't mean he needs to be there all the time...there are specific people to handle taking samples nd processing them making a report...also what's with the nav acha aadmi h nhi toh koi aur... sorry to say nav already was shouting isse zyada kya krta maar Peet...these r sensitive issues irl

Ma'am, I respectfully disagree. It's his job to be there in the hospital during his duty hours. Especially in private hospitals.

Ma'am respectfully then you don't understand how hospitals work most doctors have setup private practices...or visit more than one hospital nd usually do one or two rounds a day checking up on patients... they're obviously always available in case of an emergency..my point being people (doctors) in irl do face abuse from families nd this is sensitive topic don't go around saying stuff like koi aur toh kya hi krdeta nav ki jgh...his presence wasn't required with abhir.... it's not a surgeon job to be present whenever one of his patients needs to get his tests done

Correct.Surgeons don't get involved in tests as tests are handled by nurses and other junior doctors they only review reports. Here abhi has a bonding so he is getting involved but i personally felt choosing abhir over roohi when abhir is still stable and tests can run without him looks cringe. It's like a doctor dying to treat his ex's child ignoring the child who calls him poppy.

If abhi knew there will be an emergency he would have ran to hospital ignoring everything. But here it was just some tests and how will he answer manjari and arohi for ignoring roohi and priorotizing abhir. As he currently don't have any solid reason to do that. Neither abhir was critical nor abhimanyu knows he is his son.

Even the senior most doctor in my team would sleep in the hospital itself when it was his duty. And would always be available in his cabin during daytime. Amd Abhimanyu does not do part time shifts at other hospitals. And people who work part time shifts in other hospitals are required to dedicated their entire time to that hospital during their shifts. In my comment, I've clearly mentioned that if he was attending another patient, then the criticism might have been unwarranted. But here, he was at home during a working day prioritizing a kid's exam over patient's health.

I will not argue that who is right or wrong, logic or illogic or whatever. But I have to say that Abhimanyu must be set his priority. Kab kisko kitni attention chahiye ye kisi ko bhi pata hona chahiye. He chose Ruhi test not even exam over Abhir health. And Nav said exactly right "that u r a Dr u should be punctual".
